New charity kunstrasen canvas, by alison03 on Apr 8, 2014 20:19:55 GMT 1, Wow, just caught up and want to say thank you to Kunstrasen and to everyone who has purchased a canvas, bid on the ebay auctions, contributed to the gofundme page, or just sent me a message sharing their story or offering support - I cannot even put into words how much this means to us both.
I'll keep it short, but as far as an update on my husband, we were able to find a plan on Jan. 1, that even with higher deductibles, covered his daily radiation and saved us another 200k or so in bills (so far). We are so grateful for that. He has surgery planned for next month to hopefully resect all the tumors and then will remain on chemo for the next 2-3 years, if all goes well, of course. We are still working out how to repay the previous medical bills from last year (we considered waiting until Jan. 1 to do all the chemo for the ACA to kick in, but was advised to start it immediately, and when we realized the implications of waiting, agreed without a second thought). But with the ebay auctions and now this, should be able to put a decent amount towards them and can start a payment plan on the rest. Even if it takes a lifetime to pay off, truly we are just mostly grateful that we have the possibility of more time from doctors that are aggressive and skilled and were willing to work with us, and feel so lucky to be a part of a community like this.

I definitely try to keep the gofundme page updated and I do post a bit on here and on my threads on expressobeans with both print updated and status updates but try not to get too off topic (one thread is here:http://forum.Expressobeans/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=128703 ). I get lots of pm's asking how he's doing and can update you anytime if you're interested! I very much enjoy taking about it now...it's almost therapeutic
