Faile/BNE shirt, by Deleted on Apr 24, 2014 15:33:36 GMT 1, Disgraceful, if they were marketed as coming with a COA, then they should come with one. I ordered a couple of tshirts and expected them with a COA. I was going to gift them to someone. BNE is a joke, I will never take this guy seriously or support anything he does again. The artists should be informed that associating with this character isn't a good idea for them or their supporters. I will possibly ask for a refund after they arrive when I don't have a COA, bait and switch!!! Fair enough, its been so long that I had lost track of what i'm actually getting at this point. If they don't come with a COA I can live without that and can see the validity in the idea of the tshirt being worn to bring attention to the cause. I think I ordered an Invader t shirt and a Banksy tshirt. Well I thought it was a Banksy shirt but will wait and see what it is. I hear ya. I wouldn't be surprised if I opened the package and a KwangHo Shin book fell out.

Faile/BNE shirt, by Deleted on Apr 24, 2014 15:36:49 GMT 1, Totally agree it does smell rat fishy but so far all he can be accused of is bad communication.
If for example he only gives a percentage to the charity, I don't care what he says or anyone else says. It's riding on the charity to make money and get publicity.
The charity wins and so does he which in todays world is considered acceptable.
If he says that a ltd edition of 100 shirts will be produced and sold and because of demand produces and sells say an extra hundred and keeps all the money.
Technically it's fraud but hard to prove unless everyone who paid for a t shirt decided to post a pic or comment on a Facebook group etc.
If he says that the T shirts will be sold in unlimited numbers all depending on demand and for each one sold the charity gets a percentage, then thats a good policy.
It is slightly insulting to buyers to say that the first 100 get a certificate but others buyers don't also because if copies are produced and sold later, no one will know which are the genuine charity shirts.

Which we know as bne took it upon himself to do work an donate to the charity. That's fair enough! all this problem the charity now has with bne is because of that buccy dude trolling and stirring shit. Thank god that charity water excepted the donation still after investigating. Goodness will always prevail. Fair play to bne! Cant wait for my ts

I'm sure it's legit and the money goes to the people that need it for water.

Faile/BNE shirt, by Deleted on Apr 24, 2014 16:19:00 GMT 1, Really, how many times does this guy need to scam you before you realize he's a scammer? He only wants to make money, as evidenced by... let me think... everything he does. He uses the charity platform as a business model, not as any sort of attempt to 'give back.' This is why he most likely sells 5x as many shirts as the run size and pockets all the extra cash.
But yeah, I guess a guy who did all of the below seems legit on the art/giving back to the people front:
1. Faked a collaboration with an artist.
2. Attempted to guilt buyers from refunding by citing charity once fake collaboration was revealed.
3. Flouts as charity-based organization, when only 10% of profits are donated to charity. This differs from no other corporate entity; they do it for tax write-offs.
4. T-shirt business model (sketchiest model ever, absolutely no way of tracking run count or authenticity; essentially the more you print, the more profit you make due to production cost, so it encourages printing over the run size).
5. He sells three random products that are almost completely unrelated; one of which is lip balm.
6. Faile (legitimate artist) said he was sending COAs with his t-shirt, and BNE (distributor) did not, even when there is photo evidence that the COAs exist. Purposes cited have varied (shirts were not meant to be collected, charity did not want to be included); none of which make any sense when given more than a second's thought.
7. Everything he has done has been on the back of someone else.
Those are the only types of people I trust; it works erry time.

Any rational person would know that a person who bought that shirt would love to have one of those COAs (they almost look better than the shirt)

Faile/BNE shirt, by vinzc on Apr 24, 2014 18:57:24 GMT 1, invaded-no disrespect intended my man, but you seem to be a strong defender.
Obviously no one here knows what the real story is, and all is speculation...But it's really no mystery that how this all went down, one disaster after the next, and all of the misleading/ self-serving information disseminated and then countered / corrected by the artists, is flat out shady.
There's no doubt in my mind that in an effort to make it right, Faile tried to set the story straight and go the extra mile (which they didn't need to do)...only to be countered by what is, in my opinion, complete shit / nonsensical response from BNE.
Everything that occurred here is a complete question mark. None of it makes sense.
The only thing that would make sense to me at this point would be if BNE and laminate were run by the same group.

BNE’s donation to charity: water was flagged by PayPal as an unauthorized payment and upon further review subsequently reversed by PayPal. charity: water is no longer in possession of this donation.
We are not in direct communication with BNE, but PayPal has informed us that they was working with BNE in the case of any refund requests.
Please let us know of any further questions and you can email BNE at info@bne.org with questions regarding payment and/or refunds.

You could make a seperate donation. I bought the collab t shirt and made a seperate additional donation.
I think having read all this I will open a dispute for the t shirt. As the t shirt donation has been returned.
But I'm assuming the seperate donations went to the charity. Is that not right? I shall be doubly upset if the charity didn't get that either. I just don't know.
