Not exactly the norm, but hey UKIP Subversions thread anyone, by chads007 on Apr 30, 2014 10:17:37 GMT 1, The number of racist, homophobic, sexist, xenophobic remarks quoted by their party members is quite something. Then again comprising of some ex bnp/nf who would have thought. Now the other parties are playing catch up trying to restrain and debate with them. While some of the less informed (educated) electorate buy into their 'man on the street' bullshit

Not exactly the norm, but hey UKIP Subversions thread anyone, by balibob on Apr 30, 2014 10:49:24 GMT 1, I don't like them, mainly because most of them are a bunch of nutters. But they are saying some of the things that a significant part of the electorate want to hear, and until the major parties start listening and come up with some concise and achievable solutions to the only part of their manifesto they talk about, ie immigration and Europe, they will unfortunately gain more ground.

Not exactly the norm, but hey UKIP Subversions thread anyone, by Coach on Apr 30, 2014 13:00:36 GMT 1, One man party. And I've never seen anyone twist stas like he does. He talks about our borders being opened to millions of people, suggesting that they will all come, which is BS. He's talking about the entire population of those countries. In a modern society, immigration has to be accepted (welcomed) as making this country part of the wonderful multi cultural society that it is. Ken Clark said on the radio this morning that there are more Brits working in Europe than there are Eastern European immigrants in this country. Ukip always fail to mention NET migration! And nige said today that most of Brit laws are made by Europe. That just isn't true! I'm sorry that he's run scared from standing in the bi election caused by the latest cash for questions scandal. He knew he'd lose, and that would have crapped up his credibility. What's the latest estimate of how many jobs would be put at risk if we came out of Europe? I believe it was in the millions!! But I could be wrong.

Not exactly the norm, but hey UKIP Subversions thread anyone, by chads007 on Apr 30, 2014 13:28:10 GMT 1, Ukip is farage and farage is Ukip. Without him the party would collapse without a natural successor. It is often easier for Ukip members to dismantle themselves with some of their outwardly racist and homophobic views not to mention the Holocaust deniers in the party and those who have been spotted using nazi salute

Freephone number for UKIP. For those like myself who have too much time on their hands. You could call and talk endlessly how great a job they are doing(ahem) and that you want to help their cause(bollocks). All this wastes their time too and costs them money. People are also mailing bricks to their 'Freepost' address, so as too cost them money. But bricks are too expensive for me. So I just asked Hannibal Lecter for any left overs.

It's a Freeport address so they fit the bill

He knew he'd lose, and that would have crapped up his credibility. What's the latest estimate of how many jobs would be put at risk if we came out of Europe? I believe it was in the millions!! But I could be wrong. The employment issue is crucial because why would any European country want to do business with a country who has just rejected them. As Europe, we are a powerful market - helping each other, and competing against the US, China and Russia, et al. We are a small insignificant country on our own and anyone who thinks we can survive is living in a bygone world where Britain had an Empire.
I like to believe as a country we are far more intelligent than falling for the ukip crap. But doubt is creeping in because far too many people are proud to be stupid or been kept ill-informed by the papers and the 'education' system.
So what would Ukip do with all the laws that have been passed by the European parliament ? The working time directive, health and safety legislation, stopping people being exploited at work, food safety standards... the list is endless. Scrap them? Welcome to Victorian Britain. Keep them? Well surely that's where the benefit from the EU is.
Ukip are a one man party, but their rise is due to a real distrust in current politicians/parties and Farage's very clever way of telling it like it is for most people. He's good copy for the media, and sadly they are raising him/them to a level way above anything they deserve.
The electorate have felt hugely disenfranchised for a long time and here is a man telling them what they want to hear. Current politicians have let us down badly, and Farage and the like are reaping the benefits.
Unfortunately, I think they will do well in the upcoming elections; but through apathy. What is the point of me voting? I live in a consistently Tory area, so any vote of mine is worthless.
Year after year we hand power to the same people to continue systems of government so dreadfully archaic, wasteful and soul destroying; content with practices run for the benfit of finance and institutions; not human beings or animals. And these instituitions are so cumbersome; if they do ever turn it is with the speed and dexterity of an ocean-going liner.
