Level 1. It doesnt do anything for me. Level 2. That Dove might get hurt. Level 3. Girl has been photoshop added (shes heading nowhere and is out of all proportion with room). Level 4. If im wrong about level 3 i dont really care. Level 5. I dont like boarded ceilings. Level 6. I dont like it, it may be artistically brilliant to you and crafted to perfection but i find it dull and boring to look at. Level 7. Cheap enough though granted. Level 8. Ta.
I know no one cares but my opinion but here it is, this guy has crazy talent. He is a great painter but I'm with Wiz, it doesn't really do it for me. Cool to look at it once or twice but I don't think it is something I want to live with. No disrespect to the artist.
I think the physics are kind of off and that bugs me. Also I'm not crazy about the photo realistic stuff. If you like that stuff there are so many other brilliant artists out there. I think a lot of people have been spending too much time looking at very simple art like Eine and most other urban artists and now see this with all the detail etc. and are temporarily blown away. I think the thrill will wear off for a lot of people once they live with it for a while. Hope I'm wrong and everyone who bought them really love them but I suspect there will be lots for sale in the not too distant future.

No question, a great value if you like it and low risk buy even if you are not sure or plan to flip it. Just not my cup of tea. But who knows maybe it will grow on me. My favorite painting of his is The Street. Not sure why, I just like it more.

An artist he reminds me of is Graeme Wilcox.
There are a few people like Jeremy but I do think he brings a slightly different perpective than most people I have seen. With a bit of luck the other 99 people on the list wont bite when his show opens!

Im in no rush, just enjoying looking at art that has my attention for longer than 5 minutes. Its easy to make 'theory's' about what a street piece means in order to validate it, work by an artist with skills like this just speaks for its self.

Spot on ! the great thing is how this develops, how people's taste develops and grows and how open this scene really is when it comes to embracing newcomers with real skill and insight into 21st Century living. Liking stencil art, street art, whatever.. it's a great first step..a door opener rather than a scene stealer. People eventually moved on from Eelus's "Chewbarber" and discovered Os Gemeos, moved on from D's Pop references and found Barry McGee and Beautiful Losers..on from dated 80's graff to Jose Parla and the like. Geddes is just the latest and for me, the best of an interesting bunch tackling urban issues.. these guys are really creating and reflecting on contemporary urban culture rather than just simply recycling 60's Pop and some early 2000's idea of what street art should be.. Karaoke culture. Give me Geddes anyday.
