Jeremy Geddes π³πΏ Cosmonaut Paintings β’ Print Release News, by Winter on Nov 15, 2014 12:47:22 GMT 1, How is this even possible? Opportunism? They have put it on ebay to suggest this is kind of money you could be looking at to flip. I think these will go to an edition in the thousands and will sell on ebay for around cost. If you think flipping these will pay for xmas think again!

Jeremy Geddes π³πΏ Cosmonaut Paintings β’ Print Release News, by chitownhero on Nov 15, 2014 18:18:44 GMT 1, Biggest thing to keep in mind is that unless you are quite literally a stalker of Geddes, in roughly 5 hours, MANY people are going to realize they missed out on a new Geddes print.
Payday.

Jeremy Geddes π³πΏ Cosmonaut Paintings β’ Print Release News, by doctor on Nov 15, 2014 18:29:04 GMT 1, I think everyone who has signed up for his newsletter, follows him on social media or is a member of an art forum where he is popular has a pretty good idea. I hope it flips great for you though. A solid aftermarket for a timed release only proves there is an increasing fan base, which I would love to see.

Jeremy Geddes π³πΏ Cosmonaut Paintings β’ Print Release News, by Winter on Nov 15, 2014 18:40:06 GMT 1, They have put it on ebay to suggest this is kind of money you could be looking at to flip. I think these will go to an edition in the thousands and will sell on ebay for around cost. If you think flipping these will pay for xmas think again! These will be selling at just above DOUBLE cost at their very lowest price point, ever. You guys are so bad at this limited paper stuff.Β Welcome to the game, however, I suppose. I grabbed 8. PS.Β The edition will be NO higher than 900-ish.
I can only assume this is a 'tongue in cheek' post. Not even going to bother commenting!

Jeremy Geddes π³πΏ Cosmonaut Paintings β’ Print Release News, by sin on Nov 15, 2014 19:11:43 GMT 1, The long ball on Geddes in suspect in my opinion. As I said previously. He's proven that he's a bit afraid to explore, prior to the space man stuff people weren't clammering and he can't seem to move on from it.
Even if the work holds value, this print will be the one that you see on antiques roadshow in 50 years where the appraiser goes, if this was one of the smaller editions, it would be worth some money but this edition of 1000 is worth just a bit over what it sold for when it was new.
If you love the image and love Geddes then it's a great buy. One of the few chances (other than the portfolios) to guarantee ownership of a multiple. If flippers think this is a sure win short term or long term I think the jokes on them.

Some day your reputation may perhaps bring in something of monetary value as well.
Until then..

Funny joke you are, my friend!!
I sold 2 containers of 50,000 transdermal patches this morning for 1.4 million, helping import products people need to treat chronic pain. I helped people. You grabbed a product from an artist and flipped it to collectors that wanted it, taking advantage of an artists work product with minimal investment and providing no value to the artist and suspect value to the collector, who based on the edition size will likely lose money. Your parasitic cunt.

How about mocking up a red frame black mount and white frame red mount?

Jeremy Geddes π³πΏ Cosmonaut Paintings β’ Print Release News, by sgolby on Nov 16, 2014 16:25:02 GMT 1, Well, i am happy. I bought two. One for my wife's apartment in in London, and one for my assistant's birthday. She came over and saw ascent, and flipped, and has some weird fascination with pigeons, so this will be great for her... Glad i advised her against paying aftermarket prices for her own!!!

I provide a much needed service for my customer-base which I receive thanks for, literally, on a daily basis. I provide a service to people who are unable to be as fast with their fingers or bots. People who are busy with real life issues, work and such.
I am glad you see this profession that way. With that said, you are in the vast minority who do.
Refer to my avatar for a complete description of your feelings and the empathy I carry towards you.
I will never stop doing this. Ever.

Jeremy Geddes π³πΏ Cosmonaut Paintings β’ Print Release News, by Hairbland on Nov 16, 2014 16:48:35 GMT 1, Biggest thing to keep in mind is that unless you are quite literally a stalker of Geddes, in roughly 5 hours, MANY people are going to realize they missed out on a new Geddes print. Payday.
While I am a strong advocate of ignoring your thoughts I will have to respectfully (you can look that word up) disagree. I am not a stalker of Geddes, own none of his work, and received 2 emails about the information and availability of this new print. I opted to pass as while I like his astronauts they don 't fit in with what I'm doing and I'm picking with regards to giclee prints.
If I was categorizing artists mentioned on this site he might be in the B group.

Jeremy Geddes π³πΏ Cosmonaut Paintings β’ Print Release News, by sin on Nov 16, 2014 18:15:00 GMT 1, This is some of the most adversarial customer views I have heard someone say out loud. This is the type of shit I'm talking about. A man who sees his customers as a sucker will never achieve real success, he may buy a nice home, a nice car, and nice clothes, but at the end of the day he will still have to put a piece of shit in them.
Good luck man, I'll be sure to share your thoughts with artists and collectors, as soon as I track down who you are.

Jeremy Geddes π³πΏ Cosmonaut Paintings β’ Print Release News, by sin on Nov 16, 2014 18:18:19 GMT 1, Believe it or not, all of the pharma world isnt full of scum bags and all drugs arent horrible. Topical delivery of things like baclophen or lidocaine etc have extremely reliable efficacy and provide patients the ability to manage their paint without impact of their digestive systems or putting them at risk of dependence. While Marijuana is a wonderful solution, its not the only solution and even when it's fully legalized (god willing) people will still require certain legend drugs to achieve the relief they are looking for.

If you provided your acquisitions services, as you outline them, for a reasonably markup, maybe there is value here. For certain I presume non of us change our own oil, or do our own taxes. However, my oil change doesnt cost $200 is cost $20. My taxes have a cost structure driven around hourly time investment and expertise. You jumping into a timed edition, driving up the edition count and then charging your client (that you later called suckers) 5x cost on an item you drove the edition size up on actually makes your Enron.
Next time you need something at the grocery store or drug store, or walmart or target, go ahead and think about how valueless moving materials across continents is. Next time you meet someone whose been able to get the medicine they need when there is a massive shortage, think about how valueless those logistics are. I think you are thinking of drug manufactures, not people who handle international sourcing and logistics. I don't know, maybe that's more important than pressing F5 from your moms basement to try and make $8000 off a bunch of suckers, meanwhile diluting the value of the product you are selling them by driving up the edition size.

With that said, you are in the vast minority who do. Refer to my avatar for a complete description of your feelings and the empathy I carry towards you. I will never stop doing this. Ever.
