Jeremy's work involves dreamscapes dealing with differents states and ideas, the meaning is up to the viewer, but for me a lot of his work touches on end times, physics turning inside out, depression, inability to move forward, reality crumbling and the modern godless world where technology has replaced religion. There that paragraph is more than anyone has ever said about Geddes on this forum ever. I can respect and see that interpretation, not my thing but cheers. I also cant get into the whole movie poster craze EB has come to revolve around. Different wavelengths i guess.
Poster craze is fascinating, herd mentality, etc etc happens here in exactly the same way ... It's nice to step off the merry go round and just observe how facile and meaningless it all is... All these little ants trying to give their life a little thrill, a little meaning, a little worth, I'm the same - it's rather sad the more you ponder the behaviour. So dead inside.

Im signed up to that mondo newsletter. Bar some olly moss bits and one or two nice movie posters, there is some complete 'drymounting' (had to use that word) crap on there. Yet it sells out faster than a bullet. It's literally like a hoover and it is impossible for all these to make the walls. These just hit ebay and go into folios.
A few times ive seen something and felt the need to get it. I did that once on there, then after just thought....wtf did i just buy that fucking mummy returns poster for, i dont even fucking like the mummy returns.

I think it's fine to meaningfully criticise the image, I understand the magazine critique to an extent but an artist who spends 6 months on a painting (whether you like it or not) deserves some credit.

I DO happen to love JEM's art and respect ALL artists for putting themselves out there to a bunch of crazy and occasionally judgemental collectors out in the world. With that said, just know that I was smiling the whole time. No hatred or hard feelings. Love and cuddles. Cheers!!
