Otto Schade π¨π± Street Art β’ New Print Release , by uai on Jun 27, 2016 13:42:34 GMT 1, Osch, real name Otto Schade, the half-Chilean half-German London based street artist, whose original "ribbon" and "sunset" styles you are bound to have seen up on a wall near you, graces Westbank this summer with a solo exhibition of new works.
Osch enjoys a huge following around the world, especially Sweden, Norway, Germany, UK and, as of late, the USA.
He will be releasing his Anonymosch print during the show. There will be only 10 hand-finished silver mask and ball prints and 15 hand-finished white mask and ball prints. Both silkscreen and spray-paint on 45 x 45 cm 300gsm Somerset paper.
The Private View will take place 6-10pm on Thursday 7th July at Westbank Gallery, 3-5 Thorpe Close, London W10 5XL.
Please RSVP to guestlist@londonwestbank.com as this will be a busy night.
Show open to the public thereafter until 13th July.
We will be issuing a show catalogue, so any of you who can't make the show, please don't hesitate to request one from us.
In his own words, Otto talks about the show:
"'AnonymOsch' came about for a couple of reasons. When we were putting together my latest solo show I had to come up with a name that meant something to me! I decided on the show being named 'Extinction Extension'. Followers of my work will know that I try to highlight the futility of war and also the fragile plight of many of our endangered species. These guys at anonymous try very much to do the same thing in their own kind of way.They have started a global movement that is growing by the day. Although I don't agree with everything that they highlight, a lot of what they convey makes perfect sense. My 'Orb' (or 'Sunset') body of works do not pertain to anywhere in the world in particular, but rather everywhere where there is conflict. 'AnonymOSCH' is a hybrid artwork that utilises the impact of the simplistic Orb and also encompasses my trademark ribbon style. The face of Anonymous was taken from the 'V is for Vendetta' movie, although originally (as I am led to believe) it was manufactured as a Guy Fawkes mask.
When Anonymous Chapter One, London commissioned the drawing from me I jumped at the chance as it was an image that I had been toying with for quite some time."

Otto Schade AKA Osch hits Westbank this summer with a solo exhibition of new works and prints. As the Anonymous sunset image shows, Osch will work on his signature tape style combined with his sunsets which have covered London and other cities in the past year.

Distorted Facade

Private View: Thursday 25 MAY
We are delighted to announce a joint figurative exhibition with renowned artists, Otto Schade and Danny OβConnor.
Specifically looking at the human form, both artists have produced a body of works exploring the depiction of the figure in the Post Modern age.
βDistorted FaΓ§adeβ brings together both artists individual and unique styles - using distortions of the human form born out of experimentation, creativity and imagination.
Whilst Otto uses his signature ribbon style, Danny deploys a more painterly technique with expressive marks in his art. Working together, both artists have collaborated on a large-scale painting that has been produced especially for the exhibition.
Especially for the exhibition, both artists have come together to produce and collaborative painting that will be on display.
We will also be giving away 10 limited edition prints by Otto Schade to the first people through the doors! Make sure to get here early

The artist is Otto Schade, who is known for his stylistic ribboned approach.
So the print is appropriately named Snoppy Ribboned. There will be 2 main editions, one with a Grey background and the other with a Blue background, both are editions of 25. Also there will be a couple of special editions of 5.
They're going to be released on 31st October from www.artcave.co.uk, more details to come which will be announced through our mailing list and probably here also, but feel free to sign up.
In the meantime you have an opportunity to bag a signed blue version and Printers Proof. All you need to do is the usual drill, put your name down and the number in chronological order. The name will be randomly picked and announced on the 29th October. Good luck !!!
