I thought that seemed a little too steep but then it is a lovely print. Did it actually sell?

What would an unsigned one go for do you think?

£600? Ouch, but I guess it is a bit of a classic. Do you know what edition size it was?

I've got one unsigned, its numbered 401/500, Cant say about the signed, whether they are part of the 500 or seperate, Damn fine print.

Theres a full set of Four Hewlett Gorillaz prints signed and stamped going cheap on ebay at moment

the image is correct but on the print the red is very vibrant.
unless you've left it sitting in the dun for a few years.

I painted this myself with arcylics it took fucking ages.



it's a bit smaller than the original and obviously it's a bit more rough and ready if anyone wants it let me know........

Hi All... first time poster, so please don't flame if this is a daft question...

I have an unsigned print of Hewlett's Big Spongefinger, bought from POW - err, sometime ago, when they were still in stock! When I bought it, it was totally destroyed during delivery by our lovely hard working guys at the Royal Mail... literally "snapped" in two (quite clearly across someone's knee!). Their excuse was laughingly: "It was done in transit, mate, nothing to do with us...", Oh, the blind irony, surely thats what they do, "transit" stuff... but anyway that's my nark with them and beside the point!

POW dealt with the issue magnificently, but the replacement I received did not have the "usual" POW stamp, but a "very hewlett-esque" skull and crossbones stamp. I am not 100% sure this was the same stamp that was on the original one I received, dunno either way, I didnt spend long looking at the destroyed one, it upset me quite a bit!

So basically, I'm curious if this is the standard stamp on the Big Spongefinger and also if not: does it effect the value, either way - not that I would consider selling it at all anyway.

It is currently away being framed, so if you need me to post a picture of the "very hewlett-esque" skull and crossbones stamp I should be able to in a few days.

I had a signed one with no stamp. But I did buy it in 2003.

My Spongefinger has no blindstamp either. I did query it with Dora at POW and she confirmed that as they sold over a period of time that not all of them had them.

Maybe if it was the time they were introducing the stamp, they might have been experimenting with what they used?
