Fair play for having an asking price but I would spend the extra ยฃ5k and know I would have no problems....
You are asking top ยฃยฃ but you don't have the overheads of an international high end auction house...
Maybe that's why some might think you are joking...

Its just that a few people on here are well in with the usual Galleries and they can all get the best price then add on a wage, those same people also probably know where a lot, if not most, of the privately owned Banksy originals are too should their owners ever think of offering them up, acting almost like private brokers / finders. After all, thats how it works isnt it really.
Nice canvas anyhow, always liked it. Cheers

New York, London, Bristol HW circa 2000 , by johnnyh on Jul 13, 2014 19:10:34 GMT 1, My friend I sold a Barcode leopard on this forum. Southebys is setting market value so Im looking to get just a bit less than what they are setting the market @. I'm sure you really have no idea how anything in this industry works but its no hard feelings. I'm not only selling on this site I have a gallery and do pop up shops all over the world. You really should learn some respect as I'm not doing anything wrong here!!! Jesus you guys are really upset. Why the hate, seriously? Ahhh we don't hate you we are just laughing at you. Same as my wife laughs at me when I say England will win the World Cup......Just ain't gonna happen.
still threads like this put Banksy prices into further ridiculousness so at least the wife's happy. When she looks at Banksy's she just see's handbags.
Why don't you just advertise your gallery and for that matter why are you not selling through your gallery???

Has sotheby's sold their HW at 80Kยฃ? You also may be surprised what Banksy pieces some of us 'not in the know' actually own... Last HW sold was in April of this year...have a look... artsalesindex.artinfo.com/asi/lots/5244168Best of luck with the sale though...

From the looks of it not many ppl are serious street art collectors anyway just a bunch of guys looking for unsigned prints. I guess your right but o well I made 15k last time through this forum so I figured it be worth another shot but its clear that was pure luck at being at right place at right time. I feel sorry for these guys that just want to hate on me for no reason but hey thats what people do when they are protected and hiding behind a computer screen. Anyone would like to come down to the gallery address is 69 Leonard St Ny Ny 10013, not many of these ppl would dare act tough to my face. Again I wish no one any ill will and glad you guys have nothing but hate towards me it keeps me motivated and driven
Fair point Scottbut let's look at it.... See where it goes You been told no one hates you we just think your being a bit of a t**t.
It's simple really.... Do a bit of research we all thought the Sotherbys price list was daft.
Now you turn up with the it's this price at Sotherbys .... So you seen the catalogue Well mate so has everyone else. Also had a call etc. Yes your under their list....but Vat based on what. You have a Vat number??? Don't think so Also let's look one sale is by Lazarides (Banksy's old partner) and Sotherbys one of the largest auction houses in the world..... And the other is by the idiot with 20 posts on a forum.....mmmm !!!! How hard is it??? Who would you send your money too (all ยฃ90k of it....mmm paypal) let alone there are plenty of legit galleries we can deal with at below these prices... It ain't hard mate grow up and sorry to say piss off!!!

New York, London, Bristol HW circa 2000 , by Coach on Jul 14, 2014 0:45:12 GMT 1, I wasn't going to get involved in this discussion, but I have to say Scott, that using the fact that many people on here (myself included) can't afford to buy what you are selling as an insult is pretty low. True lots of people on here can't afford it, and are looking for unsigned prints instead. It's no doubt true that lots of people on here can't afford an unsigned banksy print these days. So fucking what!! That does not make them any less worthy to discuss this art than you! This is a forum where people enjoy (for the most part) talking about street art. What they can and can't afford to buy is neither here nor there. You talk about respect, but seem to have none for the people you are talking to.

New York, London, Bristol HW circa 2000 , by Happy Shopper on Jul 14, 2014 10:27:36 GMT 1, I don't think there's need for insults from anyone. I simple illustration of why the price is too high would do the job... No need to resort to childish behavior.
People are free to advertise whatever they want at whatever price they want, but yet again the "New Posts" feed is full of the same people slinging abuse at each other.

Scott
Here's the first result when I google your gallery:
www.yelp.co.uk/biz/gallery-69-llc-new-york
It has 3 reviews and a 1 star overall rating.
Review 1 "Want to lose your money? Want to deal with super shady characters? ..... Rent here!!"
Review 2 "Better Business Bureau complaint filed today. Next stop civil court."
Review 3 "Gallery 69 is also the same as Tribeca Framing... It is one of the most unprofessional places i have EVER dealt with."
There's a definite pattern emerging here. Might not be the best idea to keep pushing that link??
Also, can you clarify if the Gallery is defo yours as you claim - its just that the official website says it is owned by the Cornell family www.nygallery69.com/about.shtml. And there's quite a lot of murky info only about Steve Cornell selling fakes etc too...so much that someone actually set up a blog stevecornell-gallery69-nyc.blogspot.co.uk/

New York, London, Bristol HW circa 2000 , by Deleted on Jul 14, 2014 11:51:06 GMT 1, How can a New York based gallery charge VAT in the UK? Are you VAT registered UK? Or you just trying it on?
As for ppl not being collectors on this forum - are you f**king retarded? Plenty of ppl on here have got the most desirable/enviable collection of street art then all you wannabe 'galleries' put together. Some have more Banksy's then you can dream of getting your hands on.

Why on earth would Laz get Elevated Scott to come onto the forum to sell his works for him?? That's just bizarre.
If Laz wants to shift a HW he has a massive database of banksy collector contacts worldwide that he can get in touch with. Anyone on this forum who collects Banksy and has anything like that kind of money is almost 100% known to Laz already.
Or alternatively he could get one of his many staff members to post here (saving him ยฃ9k; 10% of ยฃ90k) in the process.
Or just consign it to Sotheby's himself.
About the only thing Laz would never do is get some guy who's somehow involved in a framing shop in NYC to come onto a forum he's had beef with to try and sell a Banksy canvas at a higher price than he's selling it for in his own Gallery.
