Yes it caught you out if you were f5ing the page but all you had to do was hit back select the product again and you got through. I was a whole 30-40 seconds after the page crashing before going back and I got one no probs. thought was a very clever way of thwarting those using bots.  The missus loves this print so it might go up in her walk in closet.

Went back and forth like a madman through the pages for ages but it kept telling me across the top header that there were 'only 2/1/0 prints left' at the same time as not letting me cart anything. Patience is however a virtue and 24 minutes past 3 it carted me one! :-)

At least we know the formula for next time i guess. I pressed back to mainpage within 10seconds and all 20edition had gone in that time so assuming those quoting 30/40 seconds were after main edition.

In my experience if the seller puts in a quantity of items available it will not allow people to add the product to their cart, which is why the red "Sorry this product isn't available- 10 minutes to check out" box appears. However if they don't add a quantity and just watch inventory manually (which would be a horrible idea for a release like this) it's quickest to checkout and then inevitable refunds. I'm not too bitter about missing out. Win some, lose some. This one was just a little more appealing to the lady so it stood a better shot at being green lighted. |
