PRO 176 , NASTY and TANC for Monoprix, by Lroy on Sept 2, 2014 6:47:53 GMT 1, With all my respect, I find it weird, even awful. I hope you're not one of these artists, I do not say this against you. But what must be the linen of House or dishes must remain the dishes (watch already mugs and other low price market with banksy). And this way to bring the street-art to the big supermarkets, shops or stores (soon Ikea?) is not a great way ! I do not like at all.. Kidult had enough criticised Mr André for these posters made for Monoprix, already! Imagine Roa or Daleast, or even Stik, printing their art on clothing, footwear, stores like Tesco or others ( better ones if you prefer ) , etc... This totally cheapen their artwork. This is not art, as a Degas printed on a cake box is not ! In addition we then lose the soul of the street-art, Yes, we sell here the soul for a few ( big ) euros. Last question: why the street-art should be so colorful?
This is just a discussion..... Best

PRO 176 , NASTY and TANC for Monoprix, by Lroy on Sept 2, 2014 6:49:58 GMT 1, Last question : where are the walls, the location, the spot, the mater of the wall, the red of the bricks ,etc... Street-art is not only products. Too many at this moment. Even prints for nothing.

PRO 176 , NASTY and TANC for Monoprix, by LAZAKY on Sept 2, 2014 7:12:40 GMT 1, Hey Roy I understand what you meant but I prefer seeing those artist that do not do any print release releasing some supermarket stuff, than other artist doing too many print release to reach people that can't afford original piece. That kind of release don't have to be the new rules for artist to get some fame!

Better out than in anyway Yes I know. I don't like so mcuh Kaws for that ( his last perfume bottle is awful ) ... Maybe, the catalogue on line fo Monoprix do not show very well the artworks... All this white and name of the products, well the interface and the layout are really not attractive...

That kind of release don't have to be the new rules for artist to get some fame! Many of these artists have been working to make a name for themselves for years so to get extra awareness of their art is a good thing if the products are good. The Jeff Koons/Dom Perignon was good, the Damien Hirst Vipp dustbin was embarrassing.
