I think it's as simple as the repetition of an idea leading to people seeing it as banal.

I can only assume that others have had this feeling as you are right, he does not get any where near the respect he deserves on this forum, for someone who was there or there about in the early days Nick's new work should be creating the same excitement as d*face or Eine. I do not own any of his work any more for that reason.. This is of course just my personal view. 1. not many ppl here would've met him

I do like the way most of his drops are lottery based though . More fans get a chance to own a piece

He did a street piece here in NYC that i think is a similar concept that I like a lot better. Im certainly in for a book though, and i would predict a hand finished book is substantially more expensive than the reg, but if it is reasonable it is likely a go for me:

I get what you are saying, but his price point is not really at a 18 year old spending level, atleaSt not most beginner collectors. I'm sure This print will probably be +500usd

He has a family, mortgage and bills to pay.
He continues to do financially well from the TMA/ Vandal stuff.

I would ask that 18 year old to pick up some Obey prints to start with. There is the Faile 150 if you have deeper pockets in college. Nick Walker's price point is nowhere near entry level, IMO. |
