The Connor Brothers ๐ฌ๐ง Mike Snelle & James Golding, by Mr-Brown on Mar 4, 2020 18:16:52 GMT 1, There are genuine collectors out there including myself, looking for certain pieces of their work.
I've been collecting their work for a few years know and I also know a lot of other people who collect Connor Brothers work as well as other artists. Like them or loathe them, but their work is only going up in value and keeps rising.
The small prints for example in the 42-29 cm format, in some galleries are selling for around ยฃ2.5k now. And they are selling.
Last year they were a hell of a lot cheaper than that. There is a shortage of their work out there, on ebay for example there are a couple of bits but that's it.
They have a big following and many celebrity followers as well who have bought their work.
The pulp fiction series is coming to an end and that was known a long time ago. They are releasing new works this year and I can't wait for it. But then again, I know what's coming.

The Connor Brothers ๐ฌ๐ง Mike Snelle & James Golding, by Winter on Mar 4, 2020 20:05:06 GMT 1, 3 threads looking for Connor Bros pieces? Are you one of the Connor Bros trying to raise your profile? I donโt think thereโs any shortage of works out there. It was just announced that they're ending the Pulp Fiction series, so possibly someone looking to hoover them up in the hope they'll suddenly be worth more. I wonder how many different variations are available now. Must be hundreds. Pulp Fiction series? Never heard of it.

The Connor Brothers ๐ฌ๐ง Mike Snelle & James Golding, by Mr-Brown on Mar 4, 2020 21:23:22 GMT 1, The small pieces sell well because everyone has room in their house / flat for a print or unique at 42-29 cm size or even a 75-50 cm. The big pieces are ok if you have the room but sometimes struggle to sell as you need a large space for them. The small prints are starting to command good money now and are selling for a premium.
If you call the Eddie Lock Gallery he has a print for sale at 42-29cm by the Connor Brothers titled "why fit in when you're born to stand out" for ยฃ2450.00 he sold the same print from the edition of 20 for ยฃ2.5k recently I know this because I have a friend who knows Eddie very well.
If you go on the Sotheby's website you can see past auction results by the Connor Brothers who do very well on there. I know there are people who don't rate the Connor Brothers but, there are a lot of people who do including celebrities and film stars who collect their work. As I said earlier their work is going north in price and seems to be going up every month.

Talent or no talent, its about the cause....not some self righteous a$$ wipe that is knocking somebody raising money for people trying to save lives. I don't care if it was a garden rock...the money is going to a good cause and the buyers have a memory from this travesty and a reminder to always thank those that put their lives in danger for all of us.
why don't you go over to the trump thread and cry...

They say all PROFITS to the NHS which is very different from all PROCEEDS.
Maybe the negativity comes from the longer standing members who remember a certain gallery.

What does this refer to exactly? I know the rough background of Connor Bros but not in great detail, and don't know how they seem to have offended UAA members to such an extent. Genuinely interested.

It's not just the stealing of others artwork and qoutes. These two are fraudsters and any reputable gallery shouldn't sell their work. If you wanted to be sure 100% of your money spent will be going to the NHS, then it should have been donated directly.

Same could be said for Banksy mats or most other art related charity purchases that Im sure lots of members on here have gone in for. I would assume that all these sorts of charity projects are aimed at appealling to those people who may not donate otherwise, rather than being aimed at those who donate naturally without an incentive (of course, there will be some crossover). Surely its better to do this and hopefully add to the charity fund than not?

I said they were talentless, not ungenerous, you simpleton. I agree, however we are yet to see exactly how generous they are. It doesn't cost very much to produce 300 giclee's. I'm sure they will publish proof of their donation since its been sold on behalf of the NHS. The quote they have used is attributed to Brad Brown although they appear to have left off the last part which I personally think is very relevant and would of made its meaning more current. (they could of used a male nurse too but that would have involved not sexualising an image of a women).

I don't think you can compare these muppets to Banksy though. Their moral standards are opposite ends of the spectrum. CB's offering their profits to the NHS, is just a marketing opportunity imo, as there other 'charity' releases. I wouldn't trust anything these two do and the sooner the arse falls out of their market, the better.
I don't think you can compare these muppets to Banksy though. Their moral standards are opposite ends of the spectrum. CB's offering their profits to the NHS, is just a marketing opportunity imo, as there other 'charity' releases. I wouldn't trust anything these two do and the sooner the arse falls out of their market, the better.
