The Connor Brothers 🇬🇧 Mike Snelle & James Golding, by mrizzle on Jun 12, 2021 21:05:09 GMT 1, Did you talk to the gallery ot TCB? Any link to the gallery? I spoke with the gallery. I messaged them on their website contact form then they called me back. trentgalleries.co.uk is their site It sounds like everything is being sold framed and they are all big so Shipping over the pond could be a pain
Did they advise regarding price? I missed a call from them earlier in the day and the text me asking for a suitable time to chat but I had too much on today. Interested to see the images and to know the pricing.

The Connor Brothers 🇬🇧 Mike Snelle & James Golding, by iamzero on Jun 13, 2021 18:52:54 GMT 1, I’m glad you posted the old thread about these two as I remember reading it all as it unfolded back then. The gallery owner I spoke to yesterday was so made up that I knew who Brainwash and Connor Brothers were as she said most that go to her place haven’t a clue. She was excited to have their stuff so I was careful enough to not burst her bubble and said she might want to look up the back story of them before she got too carried away.

In the long run they will milk it, make lots of money for the bros, and then drop them leaving a massive trail of prints on the secondary market.

The Connor Brothers 🇬🇧 Mike Snelle & James Golding, by Terry Fuckwitt on Jul 6, 2021 23:39:47 GMT 1, With the popularity of The Connor Brothers artwork, do you think this is a good investment for the future? They are receiving a lot of attention in the media & have Maddox’s full backing. I have a couple of prints that I have purchased at a decent level, as they appeal to my taste. However,I don’t want to lose my investment on them long term & ultimately want a return from them. Interested to hear other people’s opinions…..
Sooner they crash and burn, the better

They release so much now that no, they're probably not going to be an investment long term. Their most recent editions are still readily available at source. Nobody seems particularly fussed about their 'originals', which are just hand-finished giclee prints, generally, or terrible imitations of book covers.
If you bought prints in the early days then you'd be unlikely to lose money, but if you bought into originals at high prices then I don't fancy your chances of them maintaining their value.

The Connor Brothers 🇬🇧 Mike Snelle & James Golding, by tonys on Jul 7, 2021 9:15:39 GMT 1, I managed to buy a print of their's a few years back, I thought it was a cheap enough investment for a fairly decent image. I was in a local gallery at the weekend and there was said print, but this time an edition of 20 and lo and behold 20 times the price. There seem to be multiple versions of the same prints which to me just says cash cow.

The Connor Brothers 🇬🇧 Mike Snelle & James Golding, by yoss on Jul 7, 2021 15:38:20 GMT 1, I personally like the Connor Brothers art (and owns few pieces that are on my walls). Everyone here complains that they were fakers, and addicts and put out too much.
These articles are from 6-7 years ago. They do so much now for great causes like CALM, but they still get bashed for their pasts. I am glad they overcame their addictions (albeit some people got hurt along the way), but sometimes that happens on the road to recovery.
And the idea they put out a lot of works? How many of you collect KAWs figurines? C’mon now.
Plus, if you don’t like their art, why go on threads to bash? Why not rise above and just look the other way?
Too many haters here that if you do t like the art they collect, then you know nothing. I follow the mantra I see a bunch in these threads: hang what you like.

Half…strike that…almost all of this website’s threads revolve around money. Flippers flippers flippers and yet anyone who asks about the Connor Brothers get bashed…I don’t get it.

I never bashed the op, I'm just bashing the talentless hacks and fraudsters known as The Connor Brothers. I expect the majority of the owners that have these hanging in their homes don't even realise the 'artworks' are not even made by them. If the op wants to know opinions on whether to sell now for a small profit, then my answer is take the money and run.

The Connor Brothers 🇬🇧 Mike Snelle & James Golding, by Wanchope on Jul 8, 2021 20:00:09 GMT 1, I urge anyone on here not to ask about the Connor brothers. There is a huge market for them and in my opinion suit many home styles more so than some other artists mentioned, but that’s the point, different people like different art pieces (me included as I have all types of art on my walls and that’s the fun of it). This forum unfortunately is not a place to get a balanced view on these particular guys so don’t be put off. I have a couple of pieces and have done well financially but more importantly enjoyed them over the years. Peace out and as always buy what you like

The Connor Brothers 🇬🇧 Mike Snelle & James Golding, by randomarts on Jul 27, 2021 15:15:00 GMT 1, Just stumbled upon this forum as I bought my first piece last week and obviously do not pretend to know anything about art. People bashing on TCB are entitled to their opinion but the market is much larger than an online forum and I'd wager 95% of the people who own a TCB piece or would consider buying one in the future are not on this forum. Hell, all my mates in banking / hedge funds / private equity really loved the TCB piece that I sent them and some are now looking to get TCB art for themselves!
I work in finance and obviously do not want to lose all my £3.2k spent on the limited edition print that I bought but in the meanwhile I plan to enjoy it in my living room.
