Banksy poster - real or fake?, by Deleted on Oct 22, 2014 16:55:29 GMT 1, long story short... I purchased the poster on the left from a trusted forum member so I have no doubt it's authentic. It has never been folded.
I purchased the one on the right from...somewhere else It came folded. The paper and size seem about right, but the color is off. But then again, these were made cheaply so maybe they're all a bit different? I know some were folded and put in boxes with shirts.
Any and all opinions welcome. And if I'm being straight, I would be interested or selling/trading for the one on the right, but wouldn't do so unless I was confident in its authenticity.
Thanks in advance

Banksy poster - real or fake?, by Jimmy Oscar on Oct 22, 2014 17:55:59 GMT 1, Weren't they given out to all the tree huggers back in 2003 at the anti-Iraq war protests?
Yes very rare and far more desirable than his prints...
You're puddled.

Banksy poster - real or fake?, by doctor on Oct 22, 2014 18:15:32 GMT 1, "Tree hugging protesters" are far more likely to treat a free poster like a piece of garbage, than a limited edition print collector would do with something that they spent money to obtain. So yeah, a mint condition one is probably as rare if not more so than a lot of his editioned prints.

Only problem is they weren't high quality printing to begin with. My guess is inkjet printer... So copies made towards the end of the run might theoretically be lighter than others

Banksy poster - real or fake?, by fingerz on Oct 22, 2014 18:19:59 GMT 1, a bit of info
'If you were one of the 200,000 people who took part in London's anti-war march last Saturday, you may have spotted 3D from Massive Attack in the crowd donning a black Wrong War T-shirt. His T-shirt is one of a limited edition of 150 which have been co-designed by Jeff Griffin and graffiti artist Banksy. Fifty of the T-shirts have already been allocated, but 100 are now available from The Griffin Concept Store on Portobello Road W11, priced £35 with profits going to CND. If you can't get to the shop, you can order one by calling 0208 960 9607. Griffin, Banksy and CND are also joining forces to organise an evening at 93 Feet East in Brick Lane to raise awareness and funds for the anti-war effort. Scheduled for October 31, the event will feature a host of sound celebrities including 3D and Tony Benn. The full line-up and event details haven't yet been confirmed

Thanks in advance </div> When you say "trusted forum member" I hope you're not referring to Mike Haspey?

I was in BEAMS in Tokyo when they launched this collaboration. Thought the jumpers and T-shirts were a tad pricey at the time. Regrets…….
Griffin’s thought provoking and political stances, such as anti-war and anti-establishment outlook, provided opportunities to work with some of the art worlds most inspirational contributors. Griffin next collaborated with Banksy, the only fashion house to ever have a collaboration with the enigmatic graffiti artist.
