this is an interesting thread on anti-social behaviour - the main protagonist certainly seems to be revelling in the attention, but rather than said person being just a wind-up merchant i think there are clues to something possibly deeper - traits that look like NPD, maybe even HPD. Having had the nightmare experience of dealing with someone with BPD on a first hand basis, these disorders are no joke - for the sufferer nor those they come into regular contact with.
