It's OK if her work isn't your thing but it has substance and she works hard.. which is not something I can say for a lot of the generic hypebeasty stencil artists around here.

Like others just said, you can pick up an 18x24 canvas for about $3.5K, and other larger pieces 24x30 and 36x36 for $5K - $7K. In fact, I belive her largest pieces would probably go for around $10K.
OS GEMEOS was another story all together. It's pretty difficult to get anything of theirs these days, and an original would easily fetch $30K (depending on size). Also, I belive this was their first "true" release to the general public no?
At the end of the day, this is a pricey print. I'm a buyer at half (price) but will unfortunately pass if the price truly ends up being a £1000 
Factoring in framing costs (as it's large), I feel that anyone is truly better off saving a bit more, and going for a nice OG!!

Pilar was pumped as affordable option to multiverse on its release and galleries have pumped both pilar and Chemtrails as Maya Hayuk art , so I would consider them counting as MH prints

I appreciate Maya Hayuk has a new PTA print, edition of 99, out very soon and it has sparked a lot of debate.
I just wanted to say I recently joined her mailing list and was then contacted by her studio a few weeks ago to tell me there is some new original work available to buy. I have now agreed to buy one and the studio have been great about staying in touch whilst I was very indecisive, sending me PDFs of various work ranging in price from approx $3500-$6000.
I thought I would mention it as an alternative to those who don't like the new print or can perhaps save up or afford to spend a bit more to get a 1/1. I personally would rather deal with the studio than a gallery too so the artist hopefully gets more of the money.
Kelie at the studio said anyone interested could email mayahayukstudio@gmail.com and she will send pics of what is available. I'm sure many serious buyers on here were contacted already but I am relatively new to the forum and thought there might be some others not yet on Maya's mailing list who like her work.

FYI, she has been doing "this" for 25+ years. You should research her career before you write stuff like that. No need to belittle someone specially, one as trained, accomplished, and talented as Maya Hayuk.

What I wanted to say is nobody has also seen the finished PTA print yet. But if we are talking about the mindset of an art consumer - it can go both ways in terms of what is considered better bang for his or her money. BuIf I myself were to be given a choice between an original which isn't too much over an edition 99 paper print (and which I might also come to like on a comparable level as the print, be it be in a less than popular color palette or not as long as it suits my taste), I know what choice I will make. |

...but art is subjective (blah blah blah) so to each their own.
i do agree that there are rather affordable MH OGs to be had for a just a bit more than PTA pricing though.

Just because you feel that something is overpriced doesn't mean it might not be worth it to someone who can't put 3x (or more) that amount into an original for an artist they like. Just a thought.
