Just to say hello and that I am fine: on saturday (21/02) I was in the underground, visited the Tate Modern by night and had a cup of tee on the 7th floor and on sunday, I ate in the Sunday Up Market some japanese food ...
I was in a plane on monday morning and now, I am visiting France...

may revisit this piece in the future..

We now know this culture as Hip Hop.
She caught first hand with her camera the four elements of Hip Hop..
B-boying, Rapping, DJing and Graffiti writing..
In 1984 her photos were published in the book subway art bringing graffiti to the world..
Martha now living in Baltimore is
still taking photo of everyday life on the streets.
Without her amazing pictures we may not of had a explosion of world wide graffiti or a street art movment..
RESPECT.
This canvas is based on a famous photo by Martha Cooper where she captured the youth of the 70s/80s, This is my interpretation of how The photo might look now 25 years on with the rise of teenage pregnacy and lost childhood..
More colour ways of this coming soon..
And i'm gonna have a little give away of this image on paper as soon as i can think of the best way to go about it.

Yes she is truly a force to be reckoned with when it comes to taking photos, and to have captured the whole NYC graff seen from the beginning and to see it evolve around the world to what it is now and know you played a big part in it must be quite a good feeling..
