I'm not from the States so the term lynching isn't as loaded as it is over there. But I don't want to be accused of racist behaviour and in support of political correctness, I'm going to go back to using the word hang or hanging instead. Hanging is still carried out in many countries today and even in western countries has only been stopped relatively recently.
The Germans were accused of crucifying an allied soldier during World War Two. Which I think was the last know 'alleged' crucifixion. This is quite a contentious subject though, loaded with accusations of racism on one side and anti Semitism on the other. But war and religion are not relevant in 2014.
So do you still want crucifying or are you going to wait for hanging like me?

I would just like to say that I don't advocate causing harm to anyone. I was speaking metaphorically. I only meant to highlight the negative response this thread was likely to gather. For example I did not think any of the comments would use the word altruistic without a heavy dose of sarcasm.
The removal of public art for the financial benefit of an individual is likely to be disapproved of here. I love American, your bottled beer and your denim hot pants, please don't ban me from your country.
If there are any Conor Harringtons on the side of that airport please let me know.
(It's ok if it's a Harrington)

This piece (Space Invader - San Diego City College Building M) has been heavily documented online and photo-sharing sites. The Invasion of San Diego map included in the list of photos (where he labels the piece as SD_09), was produced and released by the artist himself. These maps are widely used as authentication for his illegal work, because he is known to never outright admit to the production of any single street piece. It was installed by Invader during July 10-17, 2010. Invader was in San Diego to set up for MCASD's 'Viva La Revolucion' show, which opened July 17, and was a milestone for street art in major contemporary art museums.
