Sandra Chevrier Batman and Superman, by Press Play on Dec 12, 2014 13:08:49 GMT 1, Hi.
I'm about to buy the Sandra Chevrier Batman and Superman prints. When I inspected the prints I saw some cracks in the white surface. The seller told me that was common with prints from COA-gallery. You can see the cracks beneath. Is this common for these prints?

That looks like an effect used for craft projects called crackle glaze. But it can happen naturally (in various ways) if paint was used. If it is painted and wasn't meant to be that way by the artist, I would stay away from it if it's not an effect the artist was aiming for.

"according to your pictures the print isn't damaged. It's a hi-definition scan from the original canvas who was like that.I assure you the print is totally in mint condition.Sandra uses modeling paste, acrylic and oil pastel on her artwork. All the texture behind are made by the modeling paste and the dripping were like that on the original"

You made it seem as though the print itself was crackling that way, not that the cracks were printed...

Im not fully sold on them, originals were a bit to MDF feeling, hope she raises the quality.

Lol, exactly... Dude if the cracks are a print what are you worried about - if you cant feel the texture of the cracking you are good to go.

Sandra Chevrier Batman and Superman, by Dr Plip on Dec 13, 2014 12:15:07 GMT 1, If you're fortunate enough to own an original that includes comic pages from older comics or are printed on non-glossy paper, you might want to keep them out of direct sunlight. Cheap paper pulp was used for older or magazine-size reprint comics and it hates light (as does some varnish and glue). That's the nature of collaged work, it can change with time (not acid-free, etc), but you can help delay any browning by applying just a little care and common sense.
This page was from cheap paper stock. The middle band (the signed bit) was exposed to sunlight for a few weeks.

Sandra Chevrier Batman and Superman, by Deleted on Dec 13, 2014 16:44:41 GMT 1, If the cracks in the print reproduce the original painting and canvas texture thats a good thing.
Acrylic can shrink a lot depending on the thickness and if its just acrylic primer from a hardware store or actual acrylic gesso made for cancas etc.
These two prints will never go down in value anyway.
