I'm now in USA, California and especially between: San Francisco, Los Angeles (and all inside like Hollywood, Skidrow, Venice, Beverly Hills, Watts, Compton) and sometimes Las Vegas. Exploring, flaneuring, lookin and cruisin.
Why I'm here? By the small exhibition called BLACKTHINGS in Gantlet Gallery /SF - www.gauntletgallery.com
and after two weeks on the road, after two weeks of collecting various things about USA: history and art books, photos, paintings and pictures or even small sculptures from flea markets and antique stores. After this time of diggin I started to paint something. I had a few ideas but at the start it will have a title: BLACKUSA but we will see what will come.

I thought that the idea of BLACKTHINGS is clear and specific - the symbolism of black colour and this blackness that is write in pictures. Plus parasitic background and the context of art that was done or is now. It's very simply and minimal.
BLACKAMERICANTHINGS = BLACKTHINGS on American Things is something like a travel journal / deck log from my trip in California. Mostly I'm trying to be more inside the actual political context or the american history. All of us know that now USA are dominate on all areas: political, financial, entertainment and what you want and USA is having fingers in all pies. It's an open story telling, open for any medium (of course it depends on what I find) and any topic which can be interested for me.
I think that this 'deck log' will be BLACKAMERICANTHINGS but inside there can be a space for more specific series like "Terrorists", "Holly Black" and maybe something else.
If you want I can write more from me but I hope it's enough for understanding this serie.

And you are now saying it?! I was in LA two times in last month and tha I was able to meet you and even I would be very happy! but now I'm in SF and I have to think do I have a time and money to rent a car third time, of course with a big required insurance and the gas for both ways... but I will think! Life here, especially in San Francisco is very very expensive... but I'm truly joyful for your proposition! I'm sometimes hot-headed so we will see what the future = the next few days will bring!

Now I'm back in Poland. Just landed. I had here a break because at the end of my trip in USA I had the next roadtrip in California and Oregon: coastlines, Arcata, Portland and forests. During that time I worked a lot but I didn't have a time for showing anything here. I hope that untill today.

Coach Thanks for your interest! I was doing a lot of things, painting too but didn't have the confidence to show it. Some of my art projects are based on social engagement and somehow I had a problem with combining it, work evenly on those two areas and finally I decided to do it clear, e.g. in a few days there will be the new website. So stay tuned.
