oldest saying ever, but they're worth what you can buy/ sell them for. I don't think you're far off at $700 bid - but if no one is nibbling, it could be said that they must be worth more. his originals are starting to go for biiig money so that will make sellers less likely to sell now. also - it's such a lovely image, i think most of them are on walls now, including my own.

3 times value in a few months? the thing is even if they cost Β£200, they were never worth Β£200 - they sold instantly and would have sold out at double that price, in my opinion - I was there and saw the rush! people were running across town for them. so if they were for sale for Β£1 or Β£400 on issue day, it doesn't make a massive impact on their value today. oldest saying ever, but they're worth what you can buy/ sell them for. There's events all over the city but Swoon, Spy, Borondo, Tristan Eaton and Thomas Canto will be painting near the old Gare MassΓ©na in the 13th and there will be sculpture by Antony Gormley and Imran Qureshi at the PanthΓ©on in the 5th (this will also be the last chance to see JR's installation at the PanthΓ©on).
