Gonzalo Borondo πͺπ¦ Spanish Glass Artist β’ Street Art, by nicey on Nov 23, 2014 23:22:54 GMT 1, I got in contact with the gallery a few months ago about those, they said they had sold a long time ago and the page was only up for testing, I'm surprised its still there. The gallery rep did say he had some other pieces for sale, so its worth contacting them.

Hi , I just got hold of this print. It really is special and stunning.
But I have to decide on framing. Anyone here got their print framed? Would be grateful for thoughts about what would look good. Pictures would really be appreciated.
Thanks!

Gonzalo Borondo πͺπ¦ Spanish Glass Artist β’ Street Art, by BKBOI on Nov 28, 2014 14:56:30 GMT 1, Good point. I've seen this print re-sold so many times in this forum. I was on the search for one but couldn't pull the trigger since they were going for almost 1k usd. I opted to search the depths of the internet and my checking account as well.
I would say keep the frame as simple as possible and let the art do the talking. Here is my Borondo on the wall.

nice to see a wood edition framed. as suggested earlier, a simple frame job is all you need for this beautiful print.

Gonzalo Borondo πͺπ¦ Spanish Glass Artist β’ Street Art, by Dungle on Nov 28, 2014 17:51:16 GMT 1, I want a Borondo original, but it seems impossible to locate where to buy them from.
Can someone PM me with details of where to go. I have emailed him direct and his manager and Rex Romae but none are particularly helpful.

By the way, who is his manager? what's his email? I would like to know so that I can avoid dealing with someone who is claiming to be his manager, but he is not.

Gonzalo Borondo πͺπ¦ Spanish Glass Artist β’ Street Art, by sohohoho on Nov 28, 2014 18:27:29 GMT 1, Sounds like he's being managed correctly. Borondo is working towards a solo show. This might come across like a dick thing to say but I can't think of any other way to put it. Serious career artists do not sell work direct. They are represented, availability is controlled and work is placed with collectors as carefully as possible. When show dates are set in stone, everyone will know about it. Until then, enjoy his murals.

Agreed that you don't flood the market selling to any tom, dick or harry, but its about balance IMO.

Yes, haven't we all. But have a think about the markets for those artists. It's very rare that artists who sell direct will go on to the "next level". For example, you won't find Conor Harrington, Micallef or Banksy selling direct. Plent of people of this forum have already managed to acquire Borondo OG's. Just because people are still posting WTB does not mean the balance isn't there.
