I find this slightly annoying. How to turn the opening into a bun fight about a free print and nothing to do with the art.
The show would have been packed anyway, so why the need to do this. Make its so that people coming are coming to admire the work not profit from a free print.

I know what you mean but it is pretty generous and I shall gladly accept. See you all at the front :-)

When to queue is the question? There was all this hype over Conor Harringtons last print and the queue size etc etc ... Yes some people were there 5 hours before doors opened and yet the last successful purchasers arrived 5 mins before doors opened and the print went live...
For this print or more importantly the free print will it be any different ?? I expect so but only for the cheap skates out there hoping for a freebie that will be an anti-climax most probably ..... The night before happy camper fools , should there be any will be just that "fools" ....

That's their choice. You are of course entitled to your opinion. I was in the Conor queue and was 40th at two hours before opening. The hardcore like Londonboy was there from 0300 in the morning. The benefit of this was having a choice of two prints due to limited supply of the Unveiling. Borondo has built a reputation due to having a skill and talent to work in various mediums, and as such talent comes at a price. I think offering a free print will of course be abused by flippers, but for others its a way of getting some borondo work for people who can't afford a print or OG. I'm sure there will be a mixture of people there and queuing time will be hard to determine.

Gonzalo Borondo πͺπ¦ Spanish Glass Artist β’ Street Art, by Someones Brain on Jan 28, 2015 19:20:16 GMT 1, Did Borondo finish the prices for the show, sorry, the pieces for the show yet? The (black) print looks good, even though it somehow reminded me on Kwangho Shin's portrait paintings at first. I still don't get the fuzz about Borondo, but I'm glad tastes differ. Good luck to those who are hunting for pieces from the show.

while 2/3 of the "artists" that are hyped here cannot even do that.
Moreover, his paintings are always quite emotional and classic in style, he has his own style and master several mediums.
Do not many come to my mind that can say the same.

It wasn't my intention to talk Borondo or this show down. However, reading the older threads re: Borondo shows (and print releases in particular) and reading this thread leaves a touch of "hype" in my mouth. But I was proven wrong before too. Then again, his style/kind of painting doesn't really appeal to me, but maybe that's because I'm more connected to abstract art (and stencils) and this might partly explain my evaluation. Again, I'm glad tastes differ and my best wishes for those hunting for Borondo pieces were completely sincere.

Didn't mean to cause offence .... However i was 32/33/34 in the Conor queue an arrived 5 minutes before you and grabbed the last 3 Unveilings as well as the Samsons .... Did Londonboy really have to be there 7 hours before me ?? No, but good luck to him for being the first and congrats to all successful purchasers.

We should all try and link somehow and have few drinks so we get to put some faces in front of these common name we know all now ? Should we have a dress code like wearing a white scarf or something so we can recognise each other ? I am definitely going myself since I live 10 mins walk from venue
