Gonzalo Borondo πͺπ¦ Spanish Glass Artist β’ Street Art, by Hairbland on Feb 15, 2015 3:09:14 GMT 1, What are you talking about? Super nice guy There's a distinct pattern.. Spot talent (he has a good eye? or just a knack of discovering artists he thinks are an easy sell?). Arrange them to paint legal spots in Shoreditch (the same ones that his other represented artists paint). Use his 'street art news' blog to heavily hype promote them. Sell a very limited edition screenprint via SAN. Make them sought after and hard to buy (perhaps even make buyer's run across London to buy one!). A healthy resale market on ebay is always good and should be encouraged. Hype Promote them more via the blog. Hype Promote them even further across every possible social media platform (and the again, the blog of course). Launch show (usually with a free print / 'challenge' to get free stuff) = more exposure on forums where the die hards and people who buy art are. The more hits the better. Sell works at very high prices. Hype Promote a 'sold out' show. Rinse and repeat. He's very good at it. I just hope his artists have the foresight to think long term.
This is what a gallery's job is.

No, born and raised in NYC, went to MOMA on elementary school trips and galleries and museums since, Art minor in college. Personally I've sold one piece of art since joining this site, the recent Sweet Toof print as it didn't work for me - at cost. So you really don't know what you are talking about at all, just spewing emotional jism in a lovely thread.

Gonzalo Borondo πͺπ¦ Spanish Glass Artist β’ Street Art, by Hairbland on Feb 15, 2015 16:16:28 GMT 1, Sohohoho informs me his tirade was directed to Denada...all good.
That said, way too much emotional jism spewed over buying / selling / flipping. Peeps here on periphery of art world, albeit a cool sometimes cutting edge world of great new discoveries (and the trite flotsam that accompanies). The edge is where the best usually occurs anyway.
That's one of many interesting things about this site - it mixes up a bit of the art collector / graffiti fan / graphic novel nerd into one big party.

There seems to be a number of people on here that I'd enjoy hanging out with, having a beer with...I've met 3 or 4 so far.
Just need to put the Star Trek shields up when the ugliness begins. Scotty?

Gonzalo Borondo πͺπ¦ Spanish Glass Artist β’ Street Art, by Deleted on Feb 16, 2015 3:03:57 GMT 1, I've met about 8-9 members from here at art shows, 4-5 I'd love to hang out with again. Usually the ones who stick around and look at the art for a while.
cerulean is definitely one of them; she is always so nice and happy when I see her at a show.

Yes?
What's the point of having a lottery and fake it?
At least the Bots lose out.
