Once someone adds it to their cart, i believe it stays there for 5 minutes (shopify system)...and it is dumped if they dont purchase. When you saw the inventory, thats how many were left and unpaid for at the moment. Preventing bots is most important. Not everyone can get a print...which is very unfortunate but also the reality of limited edition art. We aim to be as fair as possible. Apologies to those that did not get one...we wish we had one for everyone.

Sorry, sparky. That's how I've come to understand shopify works. I'm no expert by any means but have spoken with many people about it. Most importantl to us was making sure the bots could be defeated and that the site doesn't crash. Both of those goals were accomplished. If your item was dumped then chances are it was never actually in your cart to begin with. It may have said so but when you got to the final page and it said inventory issue or "some number" left in stock, they were already carted and being processed. Just trying to make sense of it all for everyone. Cheers.

There will be a 3rd print that will be available for purchase in gallery only. Once we have seen all the pieces for the show, we will decide which one to do. The 3rd print will be screen printed at Fugscreens Studio in Chicago. Again, all artwork for this show will be made available first to any attendees and then any unsold works will be online the Monday following the show. There will be no advance preview sale for any work. Hua is still planning on showing 18-20 original pieces. We have not yet priced them, as we are waiting to see the grouping of work in its entirety before we decide.

And yes, we are hoping the show does what we intended it to do...which is to showcase this brilliant young artist and bring to Chicago the rare art experience that draws this type of attention on a global level.

I'm from Chicago and I can attest to this. Our city may have some amazing museums, but the gallery scene is rather boring. Having Sheperd Fairey's Provocateurs show here in Chicago last year was nothing short of a miracle. All the good stuff happens in NYC or LA. So this is actually pretty damn refreshing. If you aren't interested in the updates, just move along...
I, for one, am really excited for this event. Discovered Hua through these posts and jumped on both print releases so far. I'll be there opening day. Hopefully I can afford an OG

1. When lining up, please line up on Milwaukee Ave. outside the Galerie F, heading south towards the Radler.
2. Your spot in line will determine your position to purchase. If you are first in line, you have first choice of the original works. If you are 5th in line, you will have 5th choice. Each person will write their choices and selection will be made depending on availability.
3. There is a STRICT one piece per person rule. As a buyer, you may purchase ONE print and ONE original...you may not buy 2 prints or 2 originals.
4. There are no pre-sales of any kind.
5. When purchasing an original piece, buyer must sign a "first right of re-sale and exhibition coordination agreement". This means if you want to sell the original, you will first contact Galerie F for first right of re-sale. Also, if in the future, Hua Tunan wants to show the piece you purchased in an exhibition, you will allow him to do so, at the shipping cost of the artist.

So, here is ALL the information pertinent to the exhibition: PLEASE READ!
1. When lining up, please line up on Milwaukee Ave. outside the Galerie F, heading south towards the Radler.
2. Your spot in line will determine your position to purchase. If you are first in line, you have first choice of the original works. If you are 5th in line, you will have 5th choice. Each person will write their choices and selection will be made depending on availability.
3. There is a STRICT one piece per person rule. As a buyer, you may purchase ONE print and ONE original...you may not buy 2 prints or 2 originals.
4. There are no pre-sales of any kind.
5. When purchasing an original piece, buyer must sign a "first right of re-sale and exhibition coordination agreement". This means if you want to sell the original, you will first contact Galerie F for first right of re-sale. Also, if in the future, Hua Tunan wants to show the piece you purchased in an exhibition, you will allow him to do so, at the shipping cost of the artist.

First of all, thank you. To everyone that came to the murals, waited in line, made the trip, soaked the sun, got what you wanted and had a memorable experience tonight...thank you. Hua was very touched (as you could tell by his tears of joy during his speech) and couldn't be happier with having shared his work with everyone. I got goose bumps more times than I can count tonight, and it was the reactions to those in attendance that made it all worth while.
Secondly, about half the show has sold. There will be 9 pieces going up tomorrow at 2pm CST via Galerie F's shopify site. If you are interested in a piece and would like to do a payment plan (same as offered to attendees), email the Galerie F and let us know. Here's what remains:

There is also "Hornless Rhino" (roughly 22x30" watercolor and ink) that will be going up on eBay May 4th (will post link later). Proceeds from that piece will be going to The Wildlife Foundation.
All in all, I'm nearly speechless (strange, I know). Watching people smile and followed around by the eyes of these paintings was just awesome, to say the least. Also, Hua will be coming back to the gallery tomorrow around 1pm and staying till 3pm or so.
