Same framing shop, Same guy behind both "artists"...
Just saying ..
OMG. Does this kind of thing happen in the world of Art that we like to refer to as the 'Art world'?.
As an aside, would the world be any worse without art?, the real one not the art one.
To a dying man, or one with a massive skin disorder, would the rise in market value of a Banksy et al print be of any interest?, or would that not really matter in his great scheme of things?.

Bambi π¬π§ Street Art β’ Print Release β’ Art For Sale, by Dr Plip on Nov 27, 2014 1:09:46 GMT 1, Without art, we'd probably start appreciating the beauty of cereal packets or bean tins.
It's interesting (zzzzzzz) that art only really has a value of any kind if a human being gives it that value. I mean, show a banana to a monkey, a crow, a human, ants, and they'll all see a banana. Show them a Mondrian and only the human will start thinking "That's amazing" or "That's s**t" or "That must be worth a fortune".
Are humans the only animals that make art?

Depends on how much importance the person puts on it I guess. I asked this fellow about the art world and he just smiled at me.

Bambi π¬π§ Street Art β’ Print Release β’ Art For Sale, by Deleted on Nov 27, 2014 16:07:55 GMT 1, Pegasus looks familiar.
Was he on X Factor?
Does he work for Bambi?
He's doing the right thing and looks like he just wants to be a gallery artist that sells through chintzy galleries in London etc to middle class dinner party types who see a stencil on a wall that he maybe painted with teh wall owners permission and buyers that go to his gallery shows see him as some sort of Young urban rebel.
had to laugh tho that his gallery show sold tickets and they all sold out.
Since when does a gallery that sells art, sell tickets?
The height of pretentiousness.

Bambi π¬π§ Street Art β’ Print Release β’ Art For Sale, by Deleted on Nov 27, 2014 17:57:34 GMT 1, I try not to open these threads let alone actually read them. But I am intrigued. Any one on here actually buy one of the tickets or get an invite? I suspect not eh.

Bambi π¬π§ Street Art β’ Print Release β’ Art For Sale, by Deleted on Nov 27, 2014 18:41:58 GMT 1, I don't know if the gallery has a rich client list and vets ticket buyers in order that the known buyers and wealthy attend as opposed to the just curious.

I talked to a guy who was painting the shop/gallery , He said I could turn up on the opening day without ticket ..
Or try to contact villa framing on Caledonian road, I m sure they can help.

Blimey. Another painter associated with Villa Framing? What was his name? The Lion King?

Bambi π¬π§ Street Art β’ Print Release β’ Art For Sale, by Dr Plip on Nov 28, 2014 12:45:33 GMT 1, Pegasus is almost an anagram of "a susPeg". Which sounds a bit like "a suspect". That's quite "street" and "gangsta" I think.
Anyway, good luck to the horsey-named fella.

Daniel Silk β’ The number or Boards and Threads continues to fall as we simplify the layout of the forum.
Daniel Silk β’ I hear a lot of Artists complaining about Instagram in the past year, how it used to be a good tool for Artists, but it's not good anymore, is that true?
anyaart β’ For Brett Kern fans, I noticed there is a spinosaurus for sale on E-Bay. It's a limited edition, one of only 60 made. This is the rarest of his dinosaurs. I am not the seller. I already have the same dino purchased in 2016. I've never seen one up for sale
Daniel Silk β’ Apology β’ Sorry I have been offline this past few weeks, due to a very bad Fever. I'm slowly getting better, step by step, and catching up with things here on the forum on the days I'm well enough. Thank you for your understanding.
Boy Wonder β’ I read that they were more or less nicked the same day they went up. Loads of fakes exist.
milou2 β’ Would love to see any photos of Banksy's first exhibition at the Severnshed in Bristol (2000). Who was there?*
jirr β’ Hi all, over here in the states. Pandemic put me out of business, need to sell this asap. Please send offers thanks so much
matgab β’ Steven Harrington - Gotcha first ed for sale.
1nkling β’ I can't help but think that a more reasonable tier for people who just want to support the work you guys do would raise more income. Then other tiers for those that want specialist benefits.
1nkling β’ As soon as I saw the heading for the email I thought 'Oh yeah, I use that place a lot. I'd happily support it'. Not at Β£40 a month though. I have a paid sub for a Formula 1 site I use that is very active. They have a high uptake on subs at Β£12 a year.
1nkling β’ Pricing on the new supporters sub seems a bit poorly thought out. Β£40 a month to have a pinned sale thread being the only listed benefit?
Daniel Silk β’ The forum now has more than half the number of Boards than it had a year ago! As we work towards simplifying the layout.
