New framing toy!!, by Deleted on Dec 22, 2014 19:06:57 GMT 1, Its a guillotine for cutting nice clean corners Yep correct andy. Its a mitre guillotine. This was my first cut earlier as a little experiment and I was amazed at how easy and cleanly it cuts the moulding...like a knife thorough butter as they say Yeah they're amazing, looks like a morso which are the best imo, cast iron heavy bugger but will last decades with a little grease from time to time, if you have a blade guard pop it on, its a bit of a nuissance but i know a couple people whove lost fingers. Have fun theres something special about joining a perfect frame, bit like the smell of 2 stroke engine oil....lovely

This was my first cut earlier as a little experiment and I was amazed at how easy and cleanly it cuts the moulding...like a knife thorough butter as they say First, I don't wish for this to happen.
However, there is an opportunity for real experimentation in case you fall victim to the following double freak accident:
If through fatigue, inattentiveness or intoxication, you somehow chop off a fingertip on each hand โ e.g. the tips of both index fingers โ please push the two wounds (from what remains of your cut fingers) together. Then get someone else to bandage them up in that position.
What I'm curious to learn is whether the two fingers will end up fusing together when the wounds heal.
If so, then you'll need to get some specialised clothing. Eating, typing and driving will become tricky as well. But you will have quite a conversation piece on your hands.

It's been said a few times recently that this forum has gone to pot. And there has been loads of sniping and unpleasantness recently. But here you go. One fine chap giving another fine chap some great advice. This forum can still be great. Imo.

Ignore my warning about bolting it down,I've looked again at the pictures and noticed you have gone with the brown parcel tape and string method
