Share the STIK love!, by alexdb on May 10, 2016 11:01:50 GMT 1, Anyone seen this...? I don't understand these kind of things. Its nice to receive a doodle sketch from an artist, only if you meet the artist in person. And then its just a personal thing. Just my two cents, but I do not see this as an typical art piece.

Yeah agree. There's certainly no resale value in it.

Looking forward to getting it up on the wall. With all the respect, I am not quite sure if that is good to put a canvas in frame with glass. I had three of these and I never framed them, ti was great, nudes on the wall. Of course, old crappy frames ( in fake gold or stuc ) could be good. I tihnk that it is the glass that shocked me a little. it is just my opinoin ,of course

Yeah, the reason I framed it was to protect it more than anything, like 12 mentioned. Just seemed like a smart move considering his pricing lately. I want to make sure it sticks around a while!

For me its just a personal taste. I dont think about the price since I have canvasses of just 50 euro behind glass and I dont care about the future value. Probably still 50 euro.
My concern is that I like to keep it as it is, and having less dust or other elements on the canvas. Some may like it, some may not. For me it is not about the value or investment of the work itself.

During a party someone was tipping his chair back, which is poor manners at the best of times, but the B*** was resting his head on his head on my canvas! Hair gel and all.
Framing is the way to go. That or limit guests....

Its funny buy, as painter and artist , I did not know - apart for Moba Lisa ( and the spits before ) - that canvas could be framed under glass. All the exhibitions that I be seen, in all the museum, I have never seen canvas under glass. And I like the matt aspect with not too much brilliance and/or varnish , the artwork seems closer to you. Free as air. But each his own :-) Could I come to one of your party ? Lol :-)

Not sure Roy. Maybe they are handing them out at the demonstrations. I think they are more about a message than the art, so probably don't belong in art collections.
