Anyone seen this...? I don't understand these kind of things. Its nice to receive a doodle sketch from an artist, only if you meet the artist in person. And then its just a personal thing. Just my two cents, but I do not see this as an typical art piece. |

I had three of these and I never framed them, ti was great, nudes on the wall.
Of course, old crappy frames ( in fake gold or stuc ) could be good.
I tihnk that it is the glass that shocked me a little.

It's not really abnormal, especially if you live in a dusty area. And with the recent explosion in stik prices, making sure it's protected is never a bad thing IMO.

Ok some are buying it for value. Not me. And I will never dream about K. or value that could increase with art, stik or time. I don't care in fact. Art could die in a fire or be robbed by your best mate.

My concern is that I like to keep it as it is, and having less dust or other elements on the canvas.
Some may like it, some may not. For me it is not about the value or investment of the work itself.

For me its just a personal taste. I dont think about the price since I have canvasses of just 50 euro behind glass and I dont care about the future value. Probably still 50 euro. My concern is that I like to keep it as it is, and having less dust or other elements on the canvas. Some may like it, some may not. For me it is not about the value or investment of the work itself. |

Its funny buy, as painter and artist , I did not know - apart for Moba Lisa ( and the spits before ) - that canvas could be framed under glass.
All the exhibitions that I be seen, in all the museum, I have never seen canvas under glass. And I like the matt aspect with not too much brilliance and/or varnish , the artwork seems closer to you. Free as air.
But each his own :-)
