Seems to me that it's the people who don't own them that's the ones always bringing up prices,

Not hyping anyway, been collecting a while and pleased for him and his journey. Not an argument anyone can win anyway, wonder what would happen if people started invading banksy threads like this. not sure why stik warrants this reaction. What do you think would happen if people did start invading Banksy Threads like this? I am interested, as you have asked the question more than once? My view is that pretty much every banksy 'art' thread I have ever read has had debate, i.e he has copied Blek etc, I think sometimes we can get a little 'precious' over the people we buy bits of paper from Dunno, no ones got the balls to do it because it will damage their collection.

You don't half talk a load of nonsense aye.
Well did you just spend ยฃ32000 on 4 prints? Someone did
Was quoted the guy that bought had mental health issues and was his way of saying thank you to the nhs.
Don't think it wise that he was at an auction, but again not knowing the extent of his mental health issues

I think you mean well with that comment, but it just doesn't read quite right. 1 in 4 people in the UK have mental health issues, so it's pretty common and to even allude to this group of around 15 million people should in you opinion be wise and "stay clear of auctions" is quite insulting. Even if someone still suffers from chronic psychotic episodes, there's no reason with meds and appropriate help that they can't live a normal life and even pop down to their local auction house. It's quite sad that such stigma even in jest remains.

Comments constantly get misconstrued on these forums, most people go through an episode or know someone that goes through a brief spell of mental health issues at some point from acute depression to a more severe diagnosis , not a stigma attached from my point. Some people are effected by buying high value goods and the excitement of an auction is not the best place to be if they have this condition but not personally knowing the state of the mental health issue just an observational comment towards the quote I read

Bob, it's a prevalence (point) statistic; i.e. the total population that identify themselves at some point in their lives that have had a mental health condition. To be exact and written properly it's 230 per 1000. I was approximating and simplifying, as this is the UAA rather than the Lancet.

Whatever mr drama queen, Banksy hyping and hyping Banksy prices is happening on here far far more than than any Stik hyping and it's the ones who don't own Stik who keep accusing people of hyping and bringing it up like you.
i remember cyw prints were selling for like ยฃ5k then some idiot paid like 20k in auction for one then bam everybody selling there's for that 1 auction result can set the price for Banksy yet several auction results for Stik and it's still hype,
idiots

Will be easier to manipulate Stik art prices as editions are so small and most collectors have multiples of the same edition in different colours and as already bought high will hold ..see how in pans out by December ? As said before if bought from original release ok but would not buy at these prices now personally .great art but too much now

Share the STIK love!, by Feral Things on May 21, 2016 11:43:08 GMT 1, There's no need to start name-calling. You can perhaps understand where the perception of hyping is coming from; there's very little discussion about the art itself on this thread and 14 of your last 18 posts on this thread have been about price or selling.
Here's some photos I've taken over the years; some painted when he was still squatting and some afterwards. Maybe if there was more discussion about Stรญk's influences, social relevance, placement, appeal, evolution, squat art-spaces etc. then it wouldn't look so much like people are just trying to talk up prices.
