In regards to clever ideas and placement Banksy is second to none, technically/draughtmanship Harrington is as good as ive seen in the Urban Market, two very different artists and the 2 that excite me the most.....saying that shootagains Parla is one one of the best works ive laid eyes on...superb! |

Banksy has his niche and his art is a combination of stencils, collage, appropriation and slogans.
Socio political as opposed to a lot of street art today which is just decoration done with the building owners permission.
Some street art and Whatsons looks like the stuff that Ikea would sell.
A Whatson Dolk colab would be interesting.
Who came up with the tagging an image first?
It's been done a lot before.

He did rats first and someone copied him and made out it was their 'thing' to do rats....can't remember the guy's name now though.
My point is everyone has copied someone (perhaps even unintentionally) at some point. If you want truly, and I mean truly, original art then you need to look at some of the art found scrawled in ancient caves by the first Homo sapiens to walk the earth.
