Feels less like he's flipping these to make a profit but more so trying to unload a bunch of art he only picked up because it was the flavor of the month. it's easy to get caught up in the hype. This is probably akin to what I would have done when I was new to collecting and had a ton of cash burning a hole in my wallet. Main difference is that I was trying to unload the $500 Eelus print i shouldn't have bought and never actually liked, while dude is doing the same with 6 figure pieces. It's all relative. tesla if you ever want to shoot the shit about art and artists give me a shout.
Collecting is definitely a growing journey, and I have learned so much from many mentors along the way that it's not about collecting something to be cool among only a specific young group of people. Have a great day.

I'm selling this below what I paid ($110k) because my collection is maturing, and I hope to get some works from Alice Neel, Barbara Kruger and others that are recently offered to me. Most new folks that learn of Arsham (in my circles) take a liking to him. He's got a good appeal with newer, younger, affluent collectors. Art provides something for everyone, if he's not your taste, all good...such is the world of art. Was just wondering if there were any tangible sources / evidence of people "dumping" his works that was referenced. If just an opinion that's cool but if evidential it would be great to reference it. |

That's correct - short lens wasn't part of the kit. I had the exact same question in my mind. I think the kit was around $28K at release...would have to individually price the pieces to see if $40K is competitive, price wise.

And that short lens 35mm camera was a give away at a workshop
