Complete Banksy-prints overview (new version out), by Matt on Jan 14, 2016 15:46:27 GMT 1, I think you will find it is much closer to my figure There are close to 50 known prints that i can think of, assuming an average edition size of 500 that would make 25k a realistic ball park for the most known editions.
Add, VIP, AP, PP gift etc and 30k does not seem foolish give or take 10%
The more interesting question is how this compares to other artists, Picasso, Miro, Haring, Warhol etc ?
Warhol has fot to be more, Haring similar ?

Indeed they will. Keep buying them. I wish I had ten to sell to you.

There are/were over 110k signed Warhol prints; I'd be surprised if signed Banksy prints number more than 12-14k in sum.

Any idea of Haring ? I would assume in the same ballpark as Banksy, but maybe I only know of the more popular images

Complete Banksy-prints overview (new version out), by lee3 on Jan 14, 2016 17:55:51 GMT 1, Matt, unfortunately, no I have no idea on Haring but suffice to say that Warhol would lead the lot measurably. I was a borderline idiot savant from studying warhol back in the day and have applied similar habits to banksy although he's much more difficult to get accurate information on. 5 or 6 years ago I had counted as best as I could warhol and banksy signed at the same time. From memory Warhol was close to 120k without getting into unique pulls (many of which are not signed) but just focusing on the editions AP, TP & PPs. At the time Banksy numbered less than 10k signed but that was before CYW and again, with only the information I could get at my fingertips and I'm sure much was missing. Still, it's a tiny fraction comparably though they both share similar popularity during their lifetimes which is rare for a visual artist.
I know for a fact there is no Haring catalog raisonne for his paintings but there is one for his prints so it would be fairly easy to calculate his size but I don't own his print CR. Given that Banksy's productive life as an artist is nearly double that of Haring, it may well be a reach to think that Haring has as many signed as Banksy but that is pure speculation on my part. With Banksy, there is precious little signed that has been released over the past 5 years. I don't believe it would number even 1k over that period.

Thanks Lee. The "Warhol idiot savant" sure made me chuckle. I picture Rain Main compulsively poring over his Catalog Raisonné !

Complete Banksy-prints overview (new version out), by lee3 on Jan 14, 2016 18:17:42 GMT 1, edit: sorry for the botched quote, was just trying to slim it down and leave your comment about rain man.
That would be most accurate. I still pull them out to this day though not as often and get excited when each new installment is released as it answers questions about volume of each of his subjects plus you get to see a lot of work that has been buried since it was painted. Believe it or not they still have about 10 years at the end of his life to go and then they will go back and try to tackle the late 40s up through '61 as a commercial artist which will be the most daunting part of the project. I'd love to see similar for Banksy but suspect that will come after most of us have taken our last breath.

Both are version 1.2, january 2015 and they are identical in content (except for several blank pages).
Did you mean that only the link was updated and new or was it supposed to be a new version of the pdf?

I heard 32...but it wasn't a reliable source. I'm pretty sure the gallery near me has more than 32 different ones alone. I would estimate hundreds
