My first reaction was to question why you would share those images here. What good does seeing that horror do? How can it help the situation? How can it help a peace process? And (selfishly) how does it help me to understand that type of terror?
I can't say i have the answers to those questions, but thinking about it sure beats the shit out of hearing some numbskulls argue about the price of art.

I've watched it (wish i hadn't) & it's very professionally done which kind of purports to the level of sophistication this group has now reached despite the completely senseless barbarism of their actions in executing all of these captives. They know how to 'work' media and in this day & age that is pretty powerful weapon in itself

I am not an IS supporter in any way and feel religious intolerance/extreme beliefs/zealot-ology is the source of much strife in the world.
And I realize that it is gruesome to see images of someone getting murdered up close in a truly horrendous and offensive way. But is there much difference between burning someone alive on video and dropping a bomb from 10000' up and only seeing the outside of the destruction and not the reality that our allies are burning people alive in their homes and sometimes with their families on a daily basis?
it doesn't excuse the horrid behavior, but this guy was a pilot, he was on a bombing mission, to burn and destroy other people, as they say in that part of the world, an eye for an eye? Again, I completely realize this is a twisted point of view, but perhaps in an art forum you guys are open to thinking from different angles, if just for a second.
