She said POW employees were telling them the entire time there was nothing for sale but they were still whinging when they got in the show there was nothing to buy (flip). While I was there maybe 4/5 punters off the street walked in and absolutely loved the idea, having no idea who Dran or POW are which I think may be the point of the show. Will be back in a few days. EDIT - these flyers are a dime a dozen, they are literally printing them off and putting them out there, please no-one pay for them. I didn't pick any up but if people really want them (just cheap paper) next time I go i'll grab a bunch.

Sorry but I'm calling this as total horse-sh*t. I queued up from 4pm ish and was in the first 6 people in the Q. I didn't see anyone with a poster tube whatsoever right up until doors - the reason being that The 'knobs with tubes' (lovely way to describe potential customers!) were actually people who'd been to the Borondo show and raced over to Dran afterwards..
There was no word /discussion or any info from anyone at PoW at any point in the afternoon / before opening regarding whether there was or wasn't anything for sale. Apart from Dran himself who chatted briefly when loading the cheese, no one from PoW or the gallery had any contact with us at all.
Even at the event itself there was no-one there who even claimed be from PoW (one guy who I knew was from PoW kept denying it and saying oh i'm just a security guard, this all has nothing to do with me).
I was offered the opportunity via the PoW e-flyer to come see Dran create art in public and that's what I was expecting to see. The fact that he was there sat backstage all night (he came out again after the 'punters' had been cleared out, despite the 'staff' saying he had definitely gone home) was, to me a bit disrespectful. Ok he had no obligation to whatsoever, but it would have been polite to 'show face', even if only for a few minutes.
I'm not a flipper and hugely resent the fact that I am tarred as that definition by the very people who put on the show and encouraged me to come. The complaints in the room weren't about the lack of prints to buy - they were about the fact we'd been asked to come and witness "spontaneous creativity" in real time.
Those who were asking what the score was re buying is because less than 24 hours earlier we'd been sent an email which said "You're invited to attend the private view and purchase a piece of wall on spec." To entice customers to come and buy something and then slag them off for asking about it is quite frankly, bizarre!
PS, that's not to say I don't love the concept of this exhibition - I do. I just don't like it being achieved by duping eople through false pretences (and then slagging them off for being duped!)

Its rare that he does a show. Sure people would have like to get a sketch. But could it be for the fact that he does great satirical sketches that would be great in peoples sketch collections, rather than a quick flip on ebay. No again this forum brings good art of lack of it down to whether its a good investment or not. Be interested to see it develop anyhow. Tubes came later and they were from people who came from Borondo or stolenspace as mentioned. Didn't see this woman when queuing either. The photocopier did seem out of place as well. But flyers had to come from somewhere.
