Thought imported artwork didn't incur a customs charge under HS 9701.10.0000
My 2 cents or maybe no sense

This Vandal for £1000 is the going rate now...
Great seller in Den, guaranteed to be mint and shipped/received within days. If I was after this I know where my ££ would be going!

Sold : Pending Payment, by Liverpool ste123 on Feb 11, 2015 11:13:51 GMT 1, I'm not getting involved in any argument here but it is also a fact that the seller from Japan does get lower amounts for his somewhat worrying copious amounts of DOLK's due to where he is and the attached charges from customs upon taking receipt of the print...
Unfair for everyone to be posting on this thread when the FACT REMAINS - £1000 is the current price for this and it's the only one for sale on the forum!
So if you're looking, snatch it up before someone else does!
I have one listed on eBay but will be keeping it once the listing has expired as I listed it when I was having cash troubles. I'm okay again now...

I have not sent dbm a pm regarding this print and have no interested in buying this print. It was just a remark from me regarding the price and last price achieved on eBay. :-)
imo £1000 is to much for this print when its sold for £778 on eBay. But the right price for this print is up to the seller and a buyer to agree on.

Sold : Pending Payment, by Liverpool ste123 on Feb 11, 2015 11:25:32 GMT 1, So can you place a claim via PayPal when you incur customs charges? No you cannot.
To close this 'discussion' once and for all I've just been on www.dutycalculator.com and inputted the following:-
Poster Print cost - £778
Shipping cost - £35
CALCULATION RESULTS
Total Customs Value - £813
Duty - £0
VAT - £162.60
Total import duty & taxes due - £162.60
Total landed cost - £975.60
Cannot get more factual than that. So with all the risk removed of damage, authenticity, delivery speed etc this is an exceptional purchase!

I dont want to step on anyone's toes or start a quarrel so with all respect: it seems a bit strange how hard you claim that £1000 is the current going rate when you have one for sale on eBay as you wrote above.

I know how PayPal works thanks It was you that needlessly mentioned it in a post when you said you're still protected from purchases in Japan. Doesn't impact on customs charges which bumps up the final price so I don't know why you mentioned PayPal at all.
My Vandal on the bay was listed when I wasn't working. It has 5/6 days left so I'll leave it where it is then keep it if it doesn't go. Unsure why explaining myself has to do with any current pricing and the FACT STILL REMAINS THIS IS THE GOING RATE and from a good seller...

No mate. Think you need to check your currency converter. The highest price I have recorded on an IP in Norway as per debate on a norwegian art forum is 780.57 GBP. I am no fan of gletak's business, but I have to give him this one right.

Sold : Pending Payment, by Liverpool ste123 on Feb 11, 2015 14:00:10 GMT 1, You can ONLY compare to a UK sale if it is another UK sale or you have factored in all other costs from whichever country you're wanting to compare against.
Couldn't be simpler! Why everyone keeps quoting figures from elsewhere without the additional ££ is beyond me?
DOLK Vandal is for sale on the planet Vulcan right now for £100!!!! Cheap as chips but once you factor in import duty/VAT it adds another £140000067.23 to the overall cost so doesn't seem so attractive after all
I'm away from my PC so cannot quickly look at the VAT that would be incurred on top of the EB one mentioned but again THE FACT REMAINS this is a decent price.
I've never felt the need to interject on someone's thread before but with owning one & knowing the current valuation, then seeing others trying to stomp on the OP's ask, I feel compelled to make such a statement & defend a fair ask...

Nevertheless, there has only been 2-3 sold above £1k so gletak isn't talking bollocks. I'd say $1.2-$1.35 would be a fair range but each to their own of course.
