Jack the Ripper: The Final Solution (It's not) - Stephen Knight. I've read it loads. I just like his enthusiasm (the author's, not Jack the Ripper).
Alone in Berlin - Hans Fallada - An amazing book. One that I found quite powerful and also a good reminder that with just bravery and a pen, anyone can stand against tyranny.
Frankie Boyle: My s**t Life So Far - Read any of his books. Look beyond any "offensive" humour and ignore the tabloid press, you'll find he's a really intelligent, astute and a morally sound individual. Funny too.
Banksy: Wall and Piece - I read this at least once a week. I wish to f**king god he'd put another book out. Someone, anyone please tell him to put another book out.
Jerry Robinson: Ambassador of Comics - Just enjoying some quality old sequential panel artwork (comics).
Oh, and 1984 is well worth reading. Took me 34 years to get around to it, but it's a decent read.

Classic. I've got the tombstone tattooed on my leg ever read "Cat's Cradle"? Another favorite, and not just because it's about his time working at GE outside Albany

There seemed to be too many characters in there to begin with I was getting hung up on trying to understand everyone and everything when in fact you don't need too, I soon got into it after day 2, might be worth a retry fella, it's an amazing book
