He's the foundation for 90% of street art so it's an artist you have to read about to understand where the rest of it comes from. Do you have to like him? Absolutely not, I don't.

- Hating Banksy the person : unless you know him, I would find that hard.
- Hating Banksy's overall work : his outside stuff is hard to hate imo, and his role in modern art is fascinating as Gard has pointed out
- Hating Banksy's prints : Hate is a strong word, but I don't like most of his prints. Guns replaced by bananas, a guy in a hoodie walking a KH dog, 2 Grannies knitting a sweater with a cheeky message, helicopters with a pink bow, cops with a smiley face etcโฆhonestly I don't see what all the fuss is about

i love about 50% of his output, but he does produce some weak crap as prints- though the newly arrived slavering art investment masses on here would disgaree on that

I know these attacks were a shame and so sad, but I don't judge anybody and I don't like to be among the sheep.
I like Charlie, alone.
But I 'm not Charlie.

You - I - can buy a Charlie , its' only 3 euros, and read it. You - I - can't buy a Banksy, it's too much expensive for me, and I am not a rich man. Only an old single worker - I hate work ! grrrr ! - now and rotten ex artist ( i dont cry, I don't care, and it 's a reality ) .
Si I am happy with a piece of paper, a sticker or a flyer, that's enough for me. pics'... 2many pics in this world....
What did and does this man ( he is ) is excellent and powerful ! ( I speak about activism, messages, etc... I don't judge easthetic, I like him as I liked Johnny Rotten of the Pistols.
