It was originally painted outdoors in 2014 (Vienna) and has been used for charity events, protests, speeches, university courses, as well as many other interesting (non profit) projects.
On October 11 it will finally be available as a print through TABBYthis.com with a choice between Classic Grey (edition 80) and Sky Blue (edition 50).

In my opinion it doesnโt minimize the importance or make light of the photograph. The original being seen a symbol of oppression and the bravery required to stand up for it still remains. Putting Pooh on the tank is just a modern relevant update to where China is at on the same issue 30 years later. It also brings to my mind the corporate enabling of Chinaโs oppression. Complying with and helping with their censors prioritizing capitalizing on the large market over human rights.

Every time I see this image, it just reminds me of the incredible courage of that guy
standing in front a line of tanks - in China.
I mean, you can do that in Holland, UK or France and be home before supper.
This guy spent 10 years in prison for standing up to the government.
That's a proper hero.
Not sure why anyone would mess with that image, it's not for me.
But if you like it, go for it. It's guys like that who fight for your right to make this.
It's just as horrible or great as Banksy's Golf Sale.

The circumstances that led ultimately to its creation (and your living room wall). The oppression, inequality, bravery, courage, (the death of many). It's incredible really. It's something that has true heroism in its origin. The human struggle embedded in its DNA. And many people will just glance at it and see Pooh.
