.......You make me laugh, Who are you to judge me when you dont know me. If you take the time to pull your head from up your ass you'd know that i have done many forum deals the majority of which were at or below cost price. On the occasions ive been asking above cost it has ALWAYS been to fund another piece that would normally be out of my price range. A flipper in my book is someone that has no real passion/interest in the art being produced and are solely in it for the pound signs someone that i certainly am not....... Sorry for the rant but i think your post was bang out of order!!!!

noodles1...I am pretty sure he is selling it at cost. He only needs to get rid of it in order to pay for another piece.

Eine - "Love" - Print......, by noodles1 on Feb 13, 2008 0:31:43 GMT 1, Sorry you see it that way, but reading all of the shit people get on ere for doing the same thing (for their own reasons), I cant help feeling that it is actually OK to flip wether its for another piece or not if your a part of the 'Old Mens Club'. I'll see how I'm accepted if I manage to get a TMA Hollywood and decide to sell it to pay for a D*Face Kant Komplain A/P that I've been after for ages. I very much doubt it will be in this same way. Oh, and I too have given forum members prints 4 cost in the past.

Im sorry if im mistaken, its just he asked 4 offers! Im not really arsed by people selling, im highlighting the hypocrocy that can flow through this forum a times. That can be more annoying than flipping itself, to me.

Eine - "Love" - Print......, by snakes on Feb 13, 2008 0:45:03 GMT 1, If we were to all be honest we are all flippers in our own ways and for our own reasons.
I love my prints but if someone were to offer me 10 times their cost price I would bite their arm and leg off as I would easilly be able to replace the voids created with something else in due time and it's more the search and discovery that I enjoy about collecting prints. I like seeing a print I want and then working my way towards getting it. Then sometimes once you have it it doe's not seem to live up to the expectations as it did when it was perched high up on that pedestal and you then move onto your next conquest.
Prints for me are a collectors type of hobby, 'top trumps' for grown ups (said in the loosest sort of ways) and once you get what you thought was your Rolls Royce the next beast pokes its evil head around the corner and you realise its a Bentley you really prefer. I wish I had the finances to keep them all but I cannot; so like many of I sell them on. In some cases i sell at cost (as I have done so on several times), I am more than happy to sell for a profit as well as that way any extra spenders earnt cushion the impact of a costly ebay purchase. I have also sold some at less than cost - such is life, at least i never got stung on micallefs! Each to their own I say, you may not like it but everyone has their reasons and until you really know someone you are in no position to judge especially when the only side of an individual you see are their posts and their avatar!

Peoples opinions on flipping vary and its a subject thats been talked about over & over on here. I purchased the print to frame and hang in our bedroom, However my TLP canvas has been completed sooner than i expected and it needs paying for so im selling. I also appreciate people have there own reasons for selling stuff which is their business and something i never have or will comment on. The only person that really gets under my skin is "JBOY" as the only contributions he seems to make on this forum are countless selling threads, I think it seems quite apt that he's now set up his own flippers forum. Anyway my point is if i looking to be greedy id stick it up on the bay, Id just rather see it go to a fellow forum member.

Im not so much judging anyone for selling, I suppose Im judging those that may usually judge others for selling. I dont care who sells wot TBH, but it does get up my nose a little that it seems that an established member can do it without question and name calling. It jus dont seem right to me. Sorry!

Wise words Snakes, This hobby of ours is like football stickers for grown-ups, Unless you're a rich city type you've 2 choices if you want the ideal collection, 1: get in shit loads of debt or 2: choose your purchases well and do a bit of wheeler dealing.....

Eine - "Love" - Print......, by snakes on Feb 13, 2008 0:57:41 GMT 1, Debt - noo way. my credit card has nothing on it and that's how i want it to stay.
therefore the only option is the odd upgrade as there is also limited wall space to contend with as well. Therefore one must move them on on the rare occasion (one in one out) and to prevent the attack from the print eating moths from under the bed!

Eine - "Love" - Print......, by BME on Feb 13, 2008 1:19:38 GMT 1, Yes, most people on here simply don't have the money to buy prints endlessly. I've bought a lot of artwork but, like most people, I've also had to sell some. I think the problem occurs when people buy art specifically in order to sell it on- it's particularly annoying when the artwork is sold before the new owner has even received it.
