This I find highly discriminatory against those that have neither enquired nor have any interest in buying.

Although it's free and easy to register you are then on the taxmans database and you will have to declare the sale for capital gains tax etc.
The only way around is to not insure for the full value but then you take the risk.
Just saying.

I don't recall that you have enquired about any of the items available, but will stand corrected if I find I've somehow missed it. Feel free to get in touch re anything you are interested in
I haven't sento u one. I'm not buying as I live in the states. But it doesn't make the statement less valid. But I am really commenting in general about the whole idea of the concept of this discrimination. At the end of the day, you have the right to sell to anyone you want. But it's still discriminating against everyone who does not live in the UK, or anyone who cannot meet face to face. It's not a big deal.
Maybe I should posed it as a question rather than a statement. Because it seems going the passive route is more digestible here.

That's not the case! He's just said he would prefer to sell to people where he can do a face to face transaction. the reasons why face to face is preferable are obvious and have already been mentioned. If someone from the us is able to do a face to face in the uk then he would be happy to sell to them.
This seems such an odd thing to get annoyed about.

Correct, technically.... by definition and use. But a seller has the RIGHT to do what he/she wants. Doesn't make the OP a bad person and doesn't even suggest that he / she has done anything wrong. But the fact of the matter it is discriminating. If one wants to decide to NOT EAT fast food because they prefer wholesome cooked meals, that doesn't make them a bad person. They have discriminating tastes. Period.
I think people have an issue with vocabulary. Like some people only know the most common meaning or use of a word. And when they hear that phrase, they jump to the most common meaning. Like in this case. Discriminating is usually interpreted buy using the popular negative connotation.

Another example why sales threads should have their own section and not appear in the recently updated threads, still would be easy to navigate to a different section to see what's for sale.. When they appear in the recent section everyone reads them and gets involved to have their say..Nearly every time there's a sales thread coach is gets derailed. Is Dan around what's his thoughts?

Yes, the word has different definitions; these definitions/meanings are context-dependent. Using your chosen definition out of context - especially when using a word with inflammatory connotations depending on context - will often result in what happened in this thread, since the improper use the word creates confusion. And now the thread is hijacked by some painful debate over the proper usage of a word.

Unsigned Banksy Sales, by sommguy on Mar 13, 2015 3:46:11 GMT 1, sommguy sadly you are being very presumptuous based on my earlier statement. I am currently discussing with people based on the west and east coast of the US (I will sell to someone based anywhere in the 50 states so I'm not just fixated on the coastal locations). I'm not going to start justifying my sales thread to you, if you were actually interested in any of the prints and had made a fair offer I'd have been happy to have done a deal, but that's unlikely to be happening is it There has been a lot of interest in this thread, thank you for every one who has been in contact even the tyre kickers I will open a new thread as suggested by some of the forum members above over the weekend with pictures of all of the prints. I think that will enable everyone to be clear whats on offer and to close some deals. Thanks for everyone's patience and apologies for the delay in closing things off.
I dont think I oressume anything. You made the statement. Like most here do. I don't have a problem with it. Just pointing out the facts here.
peiole get so uptight here. It's like someone called you a racist or something. It's lame. Anyway. Delete what you need to... For the record again. I don't think badly of you or your preference to sell who you want to... It's your choice.
