I recently acquired a Banksy Flying Copper and two of the corners have a little damage.
Should I be concerned or is this pretty normal? My hopes were to Float it, but it seems like it may be out of the question.

I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Quite a few Flying Coppers have edge and corner wear. Yours really isn't bad and I wouldn't lose sleep over it. It's doing well for its age.

People worry about "mint" way too much on this forum. Just enjoy the artwork!!! I actually think people don't worry or pay enough attention to condition. It's great to enjoy the artist, art and image but when dropping four and 5 figures on a print, condition is only second to authenticity and really needs to have proper due diligence done to establish the true condition of pieces before purchase. I've elaborated in other posts so no need here. |

If I were you I would take it to a restorer and have the corners flattened.
You should also contact the person who sent it to you and see if they'll pay for at least some of the restoration since its ultimately their fault for packing it incorrectly.
Its an investment after all. And a "mint" Ferrari sells better than a Ferrari with paint chips.

Yep, complain to POW, let us know how you get on.
If you pushed hard enough they may even offer a refund on original selling price, though I am sure they wouldn't legally be required to do so

Bare in mind they are 13 years old and were only £75 & 600 unsigned on release so were initially purchased purely for the image alone. It would cost very little to have those tiny corner folds removed although if you were ever to resell you would have to then declare that it had been restored.
Personally I would float mount it, enjoy it and put those tiny flaws down to part of the prints history and charm.
