Not the greatest packing I have to say, but mine despite looking battered on the outside was minty fresh when I opened it.

I'm quite pleased with it - would have been better if she had got the fella spraying it 
The little book that came with it was also a great little snapshot of her work over time
... with some real nice shots of the early Graff scene on the subways...and it just reignited that need for a nice vintage piece from the 80's or even 70's of the Bronx or subway
I don't know what pricing is like but if you have a low edition c-type, or even better, a pre-digital photo or Polaroid then hit me up with some pics and an expectation of price - maybe trade options too

Secondary market prices seem a bit nuts IMO hard to classify printing a picture of a picture of someone else's wall piece "art". She's actually a photo journalist according to her own profile which is in fact presenting of news material that employs images in order to tell a news story, which she often does well and not taking anything away from her accomplishments. Don't really see a story being told here either as the image itself is really no different than the other many thousands that were taken. In fact it's one of my least favorite I would choose to represent what Banksy did there if I were to choose to have a photo of BOTI or that particular piece at all. Seems if one were a huge fan of hers and just likes having the signature, there would be some value there. Other than that I just don't get it even at it's original 125 euros but at ยฃ1000 pounds it's all starting to make sense. |
