Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by bob60 on Jul 16, 2020 20:49:50 GMT 1, lol 30k for an unsigned print. everyone enjoy it while it lasts! we all know this is absurd. that said, i'm not selling my collection (never will), but no way in hell am i buying an unsigned print at that price. that's wild. i can't think of a single artist on the planet who i'd pay 30k for an unsigned edition that isn't handfinished.
And of course the whole world revolves around you and what you think...

Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by Phear Loathing on Jul 17, 2020 5:39:02 GMT 1, For a decade people have said his work is overpriced. For a decade Iโve held off on buying as much banksy as i could. Instead, Iโve bought close to ten and have held on tight over the year.
I absolutely wish i had not listened to this forum and bought more.

Most buyers couldn't care less if the print is signed or unsigned, hand finished or not. They treat these editions as a commodity and you can't really blame them when there's 10+ years of price data suggesting these outperform pretty much anything else they can put their money into.
Its only us wierdos here who take pleasure from the message and little nuances like oversprays and hand finishing.
Its that time on the sales curve where I would hazard a guess that most are not displayed and instead stored away like bullion. Who cares what the art looks like if that's the case.

Thought there would be a smartass make comment at that. I was making reference to coller saying he wouldn't dream of spending 30k on an unsigned ed.
Obviously at the same price point every buyer would care as one is more valuable. My point being that signed and unsigned are more and more treated as commodities with the focus on the return and not the art.

Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by JAlternatiรณn on Jul 17, 2020 16:20:49 GMT 1, Not looking to sell mine just yet, but aware I will at point of house purchase, so starting a thread to gain an idea of what it might be. It's unsigned, in perfect condition, without a red stamp. Would be interested in prices for unframed and also framed (to museum standard). I don't often post, but saw this today and made me think. This was just over 5 years ago, and the first post on this valuation thread (go back 170 pages). I was gutted to have to sell my Barcode, but it funded the deposit on the house i'm sitting in now. Without selling it, it would have taken a lot longer for me to get to that point. Now these sit in the ยฃ20k+mark so it's easy to feel bad about what i could have made, but the thing i really missed over the last few years was looking at it. I'm pleased to say that I've been lucky enough to purchase another one (with a stamp this time) that will be gracing my wall at some point in the next few months. Anyway, enough with the nostalgia, just thought it interesting how things go round, and the impact that selling this print made on my life back then

Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by jp226 on Jul 17, 2020 19:34:16 GMT 1, Curious to know what the valuation on a 'test print' / 'friends & family' Turf War would go for?
Now, before everyone freaks out.... I'm well aware it will never be issued a COA from PC. However, I've compared it to an unsigned/numbered one and its defiantly the exact same thing. Again, I'm just curious....

Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by singerstu on Jul 21, 2020 14:34:48 GMT 1, As requested. Nothing to see on the reverse. Couple of other images for context and scale. No COA applied for on the WSM. I'll get around to it shortly. With the WSM I believe its the Lime Green A/P edition of 8. If you get the COA its probably worth somewhere in the region of ยฃ30,000 to ยฃ32,000 maybe a bit more. The laugh now monkeys, is that a panel from a train? Or is it just a Laz type photo? Is there a COA? Most people will not touch street pieces that don't qualify for a COA.

Print edition of 175, Pink edition/unsigned.
Cheers!
EDIT.
I probably should have mentioned the print suffers from some UV lightening of the paper on the front. It isn't the worst but it is present never the less.
There are no other condition issues, inks are still bright and the pink still pop's, the paper has no tears, blemishes what so ever and is flat as a pancake. The rear of the print has no marks at all of any kind.
