I would expect a white Nola to auction anywhere between 70 - 80k if recent sales of other prints are anything to go by. But then again, who knows

Both have separate letters from Pest Control stating that although these were made by Banksy they will not receive a PC COA as they were not made for the commercial market. Both are original spray paint, the bag signed on the back in red paint. I am well aware of print values and used to value the liita image the same as an unsigned print - but now this seems a lot with the recent prices of the unsigned liita. Obviously they still have some value if posters are selling up to ยฃ5k - I would be interested in others opinions. I didnโt buy the hand sprayed liita from artprice - I have used this image as it shows the full box - mine is framed.

Once they get a print that they decide is the โfinal draftโ, that is what gets labeled the printerโs proof or ARTIST PROOF.
-the โ08โ after AP probably refers to the year the print was made (2008). Usually if there are people that know the quantity of APโs produced, they are the printers, artists, or representatives that provide provenance. If an artist decides to disclose number of the APs in existence by labeling them like an edition (ex. 1/4), that is at the discretion of the artist. However, I will say that it is not the โproperโ way to label a print and put out an edition as it is taught in printmaking courses.
I know this all sounds ridiculous, but there are โproperโ protocols for printmaking and edition labeling. And if an artist disregards the proper protocol, most printmakers will (or should) make the number of APs made clear the same way theyโd label an edition (ex. AP 1/4), meaning that there were 4 Artist Proofs made before the production of the edition, and a piece labeled 1/4 should be the first of the 4 proofs that were made.

I have a Banksy AP that is numbered x/8, signed and dated 04 but there is no "AP" lettering on the print itself. It says AP x/8 on the COA so I presume it is an AP but I may presume wrong. |

The art market is not safe, in general, but right now even the stock market is responding in an odd way (e.g. relative to what happened in March). |

Is that about right for a Flag? I am interested as I have had an offer on mine from a gallery and am getting tempted to sell.
