Both quotes were from galleries, one for 90, and the other for 100. I don't know of any valid sales figures for that particular piece so whether or not it's worth it is for the buyer to decide. |

But I agree it's the same in every type of market, if someone wants something so bad in the moment, then he/she will pay whatever they think is the appropriate selling price. Sorry but the people you saw yesterday didn't have the knowledge to decide what the appropriate selling price is... lol This is proven by the price paid for a damaged FC and dry mounted IFTL. They call it "stupid money" for a reason. You think that woman or the dude in the front row knew what they were doing or had any knowledge of what the "appropriate price" is for any of the works they bought? And now for forum members to throw around those figures as a benchmark for potential purchases/sales? I'm still in shock as to what I witnessed and like I said I have now drastically changed my views on how I value the banksy market.
I need a price check on a Orange Nola All the proper paperwork Original Owner etc eic even have Protex Receipts as well! Cert from POW and emails from Simon and Dora....

The signed and hand sprayed are of course the cream of the crop and are truly rare finds. One hand sprayed went at Bonhams in Jan for $49k which I think was the deal of the auction. A ton of history here and being his first release of only 250 total, with a select few outside the edition, to secure one in good condition is quite a find. There is an unsigned currently on Hangup but I do not know what they are asking.

It's ridiculous when you think what they were sold for originally, but that seems to be about the going rate, so if you love the image and are buying for the wall and can afford it yes you should buy it.

Yeah it is crazy to think what they were selling for when it came out. But who would have thought these prices will soon be realized. Thank you for the advice. I'm going to try and get the price closer to ยฃ20,000.
