I could forgive it from an artist. We love them for their creativity, not their organisation or packing skills! I'd still want a replacement mind you! But if from a galley, that's pretty ropey! Hardboard or that white board with what looks like foam in the middle (no idea what it's called) is a must for shipping flat imo. Hope you get it sorted quickly. I know how disappointing it can be to look forward to receiving a new piece only for it to arrive damaged!

I was offered a refund but at this point it is more trouble than it's worth (esp shipping back across the world). it will never get framed but I guess it's nice to look at as a humble reminder that sh*t happens...

I could deal with the silence for a couple of days if it was a $45 Obey print... But we are talking about a $490 print.

I was over the moon. That would make me weep. I have had art work delivered just like that and it does hurt. I just expect that anyone packaging knows what they're doing but also respects the artwork, not just because of the amount paid for it. I hope its sorted out soon for you. That packaging looks crap. |

Yes. Sounds right. Emailing the artist is a bit of a stretch. He's been in Tahiti then working on a wall for LSC in Detroit. Not likely to respond.

You probably paid 20% VAT, but can argue it's a hand made print/work of art and should have been 5%.
try to claim it back.

Packing was perfect for me, those that have had damage really must have had their print thrown around, cardboard was super thick on this one.

It shifted a lot that one side was actually sticking to the painter's tape they used to hold the print. customer service said that the damage was minor and that they would just redo the deckled edges. WTF is wrong with the people handling this release. It's like telling a customer with a fly in his soup that they will fix the problem by re-heating the soup.
