the majority of the forum members said they were "offensive" "lazy" and an "easy pass".
Fast forward a week later and they are completely sold out and are being flipped for multiples.
Do you think people genuinely didn't like the images at 1st site or was it a poor attempt at slagging the release in hopes of scoring a print for yourself. I personally do not like the images except the Fire Chief and I am also at my quota for art buying thanks to Kunstrasen's release. Is DOLK now a lock to always sell out like a STIK, Banksy, Faile etc or is he on the fence like an EELUS, DFACE, Icy & Sot ?

Chief seems to be going for double already on ebay, a little less love for the sleepwalker and the 3x...

They were not my cup of tea, so I didn't try for one.
It's a shame to see them being flipped for multiples of cost price. It's an even greater shame that it isn't more frowned upon on this forum. Especially when there's members like Dave who wanted one for very personal reasons.

I agree - and also support your call for dave to be sorted - I'm still hopeful someone will come through for him
It's very difficult to find a good balance these days - if you sell to someone else at cost and they immediately flip-it what do you do - people want to buy at cost and Sell for maximum profit - that's what eBay is for
I understand that we can't expect something at cost if the market is surging but, as a community, we shouldn't openly support sellers of any sort that are use this place solely for the purpose of profiteering and don't offer anything back
I don't want people to be hounded or vilified (there's another forum for that too) but you can make your feelings known by ignoring the profiteers with ridiculous prices - if they can't get any business here then they will move on

Art, Music & Fashion are all alike different tastes for different people and as such was not interested in either image so was never going to try. I have never consciously been a flipper. Meaning that I have bought something with the sole intention to make money but sometimes have purchased work and realised very soon after that the image isn't that great and decided to flog it.
Though I will have to start questioning my own morales when big editions like that this are trading for big mark ups.

Are you reading the same thread, or did you post this in the wrong one? I don't particularly see anyone bitching about missing out... certainly far less than other big drops.
