Lucas Price ๐ฌ๐ง Cyclops โข Burning Candy Graffiti Crew, by WOOF on Oct 21, 2015 17:10:30 GMT 1, Personally, it feels weird to me to buy a print of a photorealistic painting. Though I love LP's work, I'd prefer an original. Might still go for it, we'll see...

Lucas Price ๐ฌ๐ง Cyclops โข Burning Candy Graffiti Crew, by Coach on Oct 28, 2015 17:45:28 GMT 1, For Ferguson With Love was my favorite painting in the show. I think that print will look fabulous in person and well framed. Of the basketballs I preferred the one with the ink bleed painted on the ball. But that's just a personal preference. If I had a choice I would go for ferguson.

That said I'd have taken a chance had this been the image - my absolute favourite from the show.

Amen rebelate All very subjective of course but blows my mind someone would hang a painting of a basketball or extinguisher on their wall at all, let alone pay thousands of pounds for the privilege. Can only imagine the struggle to get your money back after you come to your senses and want to off it.

I don't understand this at all. Artists who stick to one style are criticised for not developing or even "milking it". They can't win! Personally I love to see an artists work develop If he'd stuck to one style, we wouldn't be seeing this fine art at all.

I would swap most things in my collection for the Ferguson canvas. And if I ever had cared about getting all my money back, I'd have stopped buying art ages ago!! I so rarely do. But I don't half enjoy looking at the art in the meantime!

I'm not against the "evolution" of an artist or "development" like you called it. I'm against scatter brained, polar opposite styles from the same artist. For example, I cringe when I see these works, but get hooked when I see his portrait images. I'm all for evolution, but I feel like you need to first establish your own unique style and evolve that before taking such a huge leap like you see here.

Seeing his transition from Cyclops to this is for me what makes Lucas Price so interesting, the guy is super talented and i think this is just the start... I cant wait to see what he does next. Remember these 'meaningless objects' were part of his recent show Dumb Poetry, images and words combined that maybe weren't supposed to be hugely meaningful but certainly looks like visual poetry to me. hopefully can get one of the 15!

I always look forward to an artists change in direction.. I like the fire extinguisher, nice for the office but wouldn't pay 500 pounds.
