I don't think comments move any thread back up the page when it has an anchor symbol attached. All these aside comments do is elongate the thread.

He told me it was tricky due to the size This was the biggest heโd done at the time of painting it and talked through the challenges

Even the close up photos show no brush marks. Did he use an under drawing or paint direct? The technique used to get this result must be interesting. |

I would hope that someone who gets an MFA from RA would know their way around a canvas. Is it well known that Price doesnโt create his works with his own hand? Not asking rhetorically, I just canโt find anything to indicate that he has other people doing the actual work.

Love these. However, are you sure they are hand-finished? Itโs not stated on the website in any way. I do see the tattoos, but I donโt think thatโs added on each print individually.
Not that it takes away from the image either way, IMO.

I, like many people who like / collect urban art, need to stop buying so much because the problem is there is only so much wall space.
Up for sale is this lovely original piece by Cyclops (Lucas Price) that I bought from Souled Out Studios.
History behind the piece is as follows:
In 2008, Cyclops (Lucas Price) was travelling through Asia, researching his upcoming show at BRP. During a stop off at Souled Out Studios, he began work on a series of portrait studies.
As it turns out, the studies were never used, and Price went on to lay Lenny to rest in the BRP show.
Lucas went on to the Royal College of Art, stopped painting with Burning Candy and left the portraits tucked away here. And everyone forgot they were there, until during a recent studio move the unique 41 paintings were found under a pallet of prints.
We reached out to Cyclops, had him come by the studio and finish what he had started. And so after a break of 10 years, we're happy to present this set of originals. It's not often you get to say you own a painting that took ten years to make.
